My husband was a LEO for 23 years. He was a detective from 1980 till 2004.. he was a lead detective from 1989 till 2004, 15 years. We were married for 39 years before his passing in 2021. He worked on 30 murders. It took such a toll on him after his last murder of a child that he had to retire. He was so good, honorable, kind and a loving man. He told me he could not give a ticket to any mother for expired inspection sticker or license plate sticker. He always gave and all the minor things. He always gave a warning and told them to get it done. He had people come up to him and our family after he put them in prison and shake his hand and thank him. He treated them like a person. He also introduced them to his family. He was one of a kind and would be so ashamed of Proctor.

Your husband sounds like such a wonderful man to have been one of the truly great men in law enforcement & I am incredibly sorry for your loss! My closest cousin started out from the bottom in his LE career. He worked himself up to the Chief of Police in his city & was also a Marine. He had such a great rapport with everyone. Now retired from both LE & the Marine Corps, he works as a school safety officer & substitute teaches public school as needed. He has had to work as a preschool teacher many times & it is just heartwarming to see him teach these children! He’s a very built, bald, tall, tough Marine & to see him enriching the lives of kids these days is amazing! I am proud that he was an awesome part of LE & was one of the good ones! He has watched Proctor testify & is disgusted by his actions in this investigation! My Dad was physically struck by a drunk driver in a snowstorm, bc he was trying to pull a lady out of a ditch on a highway in front of our house. The guy who hit him was going 60 mph, and he was thrown over 50 feet. Neither the headlight nor the turn signal was busted out. You can’t shatter a thick plastic taillight by hitting a soft object. You have to hit an object without any give to it. My Dad suffered a broken leg, and he had a broken pelvis. He was covered in bruises He didn’t have any head injuries. Thank goodness! These investigators I guarantee have never investigated a pedestrian struck by a vehicle without having a broken pelvis and broken leg or legs. It’s amazing how Officer O’Keefe’s lower extremities were not damaged, but they want everyone to believe that his head sustained majority of the injuries except for his arm. The cocktail glass was supposedly not ejected from his hand, but he was ejected from one of his shoes. 🙄
@michelleconley32155 ай бұрын
If he was ejected out of one of his shoes then he would’ve sustained bodily injury not just his head. I observed lacerations in his arm not abrasions. Abrasions have bruising along with scrapes. Lacerations are cuts without bruising. Lacerations coincide with puncture wounds, but the cocktail glass was broken off at the top, and the bottom of the glass wasn’t broken. These officers are not very good at staging a scene, bc they didn’t have time to think it through. It’s scary how often they could’ve possibly done this to others, and this is coming from a LEO’s family member.

In australia we have school zones that are 40km speed which is extremly slow and (everyone hates school zones because it is litterally walking speed and you will never get to work ) so drivers dont kill a child near a school if they get hit by a car. Karen according to police was driving at 37km phr which is even slower , and a large adult male was hit.. And they are trying to say at 37km per hour (which is slower than a school zone speed) on impact johns body flew to the flag pole, on impact going 37 km per hour . the car taillight exploded and all the red tailight flew 30 yards = 27 meters away from the road onto the lawn ( but all the red taillight pices where still on karens car when it was being towed to the sally port) . And that johns injuries are two black eyes, dog bites and tears to his right arm, a 2 inch cut to the back of his head and a fracture on the back of his skull, cuts to one side of his nose and opposite side of his face a cut on his brow , defense bruises on top of both hands, but no broken bones to his neck, ribs, pelvis, legs etc. And the idiots beleive that he was killed by a slow moving car .
@Coolmumsclub5 ай бұрын
Same in Scotland they have 20s plenty (20mph/32kph) and have multiple online videos of dummies being hit by cars at different speeds and there is no danger of death if hit at low speeds. Nothing would be thrown meters in the air or across land either. Shame how science backs all this up but down to shoddy police work this data isn’t being used to find the real killer.
@MR-qf8cx5 ай бұрын
And you believe that he was killed by fellow police officers at their sons birthday party with 11 people - including 3 twenty somethings- all holding this secret for years 🤦🏻♀️ this is a great article “Been forced to continuously dispel the defense team’s claims with concrete facts to strangers and even friends. We’ve watched expressions shift when we’ve succinctly explained the impossibility of what Read’s attorneys and supporters claim: that John was attacked by acquaintances (and their family dog) who then dumped John outside to die with no concern for human life (or legal culpability), before returning to a house party and somehow managing to swear an unbreakable oath of silence with nine other guests, who willingly obliged to let an innocent man freeze to death in a blizzard after a merciless beating, thereby becoming accomplices to murder themselves. To pull this off, we explain over and over again, the assailants would have needed the participation of numerous collaborators both during and after the incident, becoming one of the more intricately complex and audacious cover-ups in recent history, concocted spontaneously amid a night of revelry and drinking.” You have all forgotten the true victim in this case - John O’Keefe

@@MR-qf8cx You do know that on johns phone log at 12:11 am he walked 99 meters , and then at 12:31 am he walked 25 meters. And at 12:31 am is the last time johns phone ever moved until 6:04am when karen,jen and kerry found his body on the ground. And according to google maps when using thier measurment on 34 fairview road that from the basement to the flag pole is 25 meters, the same distance john walked or was moved at 12:31 am (when his body was dragged to the flag pole) Crash investigator Joseph Paul testified that karens car was seen driving at washington street at 12:15 am . Karen would have dropped john off at 12:11 am and it is 4 minutes to get to washington st where karens car is seen on camera at 12:15 am Cop dichico police report regarding john okeefs ring camera states that at 12:41 am that he beleived he saw on the video that karen came back home at 12:41 am . Proctor was given this report and proctor chose to ignore that fact and now that video footage is missing. Jen also testified she and mat arrived at 12:30 at alberts house , she claims she saw karens car , but she never saw karens car because karen is driving at 12:15 am on washington street in the dirrection of going back home (testimoney of Jospeh paul for timestamp of 12:15am ) going home to be at home at 12:41am according to Dchico cop whos notes states in the ring video he beleives karen returned home at 12:41 am. Alison mcabe testified Colin wasnt there in the house when john was there ( so john was in the house at one point in time) Higgins stated a tall man with dark hair entered the house (john) Brian Albert also stated a tall man with dark hair entered the house (john) With with just these statements alone: we know john was at the house around 12:11 am to 12:31 am because he is moving and walking at 12:11 am and moving at 12:31 am with his phone in his pocket which is evident in johns phone log. We know that at 12:30 am that : Brian albert was at the house at 12:30 because higgins was there who came with him in higgins car Higgins was there at 12:30 Colin was there at 12:30 Jen was there at 12:30 Mat mcabe was there at 12:30 The teen girls was there at 12:30 And most of all john was at the house at 12:30 because higgins texted him at 12:20 to come. Brian Albert also testified that he sent a sms to john telling him to come to his home. Both brian albert and higgins were driving together to brian alberts house and both of them were telling john to come to see them. Higgins testified he arrived at the house first and left quickly at 12:30 because he dosent drink beer. John would have been at alberts house at 12:11am because he is walking 99 meters after karen dropping him off for her to be at washington street at 12:15am which takes 4 minutes to get to from fairview . So this means if john was walking at 12:11am (99 meters) , and Brian higgns and brian albert got there first and colin was there in the kitchen already all before 12:31 , What happened to john in the time of 12:11 am to 12:31 am ? He was still walking around when karen wasnt there in the time of 12:11 am till 12:31am What happened when all of a sudden that: Colin left at 12:30 according to witnesses Higgins left at 12:30 his testimony Jens testimony is that she and mat arrived at 12:30 , but everyone else in the house is fleeing at 12:30 Jessica Hyde forensic document agrees with the fact that Jen did search for "hos long to die" at 2:27am , she had her phone unlocked and searched hos long to die in the cold at 2:27am and browser was left opened for the record of Hos long to die in the cold was recorded multiple times.

It wouldn't be because I'd think "poor woman" (chances are I'd also think f--k her if I believed she killed my loved one), but those texts are the kind that could completely lose the entire trial. Character assassination at its finest, and when he said she should "k-ll herslef", my jaw dropped 😱 These are the kinds of people in law enforcement we don't need. And the fact he would admit he still doesn't like Yannetti shows he's not sorry about what he said at all, he just never thought his private texts would be made public. What a disgrace 🤦🏻♀️
