Hi, is it true that these 4square exceptional cask are limited edition? Once they're gone they're gone forever 💔? Thank you

I agree with the RUM statement issue. I hate fake rum statements. But I dont care if they added sugar, but I agree that should have it stated on the label. But you seem to want rum to be like Whiskey. It is not. Every country have a right to make their rum their way, but I definitely agree, Transparency is the KEY to bringing more to fans onboard. I am have Real McCoy 12 year BTW. Your comment on Zacapa is ignoring their region of rum. All Spanish speaking Caribbean/South American countries use Solera style rums where their age statement rum is the oldest of their mix. Once you know that, its not hard to accept. Again transparency is needed, or education is needed. But not have these companies or countries changed.

I know, I know. I'm a curmudgeon on the issue. At least I own it. For what it's worth, most of the so-called Solera styles are just dumped in a tank and called Solera. There is a good deal of topping off, but that's not Solera.

The 2008 sounds like a Mounds bar... on steroids... in a glass. Yes?

There are reasons Rum should not have sugar added just as you shouldn’t add sugar to bourbon. Flavored brands often use its if sugar and is usually not considered bourbon especially if it is less than 40 ABV. Being diabetic I don’t want added sugar. You should be able to get great taste without hiding a bad tasting Rum or Bourbon with sugar.

I think added transparency on the label, but I dont agree with calling it "flavored rum" because it added sugar.

Changing the name of Plantation Rum is a mistake. Here’s why. Not to get political here but this bandwagon of erasing anything associated with 19th century southern culture is the wrong direction we need to be going. We (yes my ancestors owned slaves) need to own it, recognize it and know that we have made tremendous progress compared to where we were 100 years ago. Changing laws is a quick panacea, but changing minds takes a much longer and sustained amount of time, but erasing why we need to change is totally stupid.
