You have no idea how much I FELT and needed this video. Been alone for 6 months and the loneliness is really starting to hit me and I thought I was an independent bitch 😩. I'm ready to open myself to new people here and be fine with the frequent goodbyes. Like life is constantly resetting. Thank you for sharing 💓

You are not alone. It get so lonely and it's tough sometimes . Stay focused on the journey. But you are so right. Life is constantly resetting. I love the way you worded that.

Thank you for sharing that information with us. I appreciate your transparency. Because those are real issues that most if not all will face. And yet most influencers do not discuss. Please keep up the great videos

create a plan and don't think too deeply because you'll talk yourself out of it. take the leap.

THANK YOU FOR THIS VID! Loneliness and isolation are the only things that give me pause to move abroad. I have made the decision to only "try" to make lasting bonds with permanent residents because its "safer". QUESTIONS 1. Do you have some sort of daily routine that keeps you busy that adds people into that routine? 2. Did a therapist help you help at all with your feelings of isolation and if so how so? 3. Thank God I am not a person with FOMO, but do YOU find that having pets gave you more comfort than not having them. 4. What have other "expats" said WHAT they have done to help these feelings, because CLEARLY it has to be a THING! I wish you well Chica!!

1. I don't necessarily have a routine to add people but I do go to co-working spaces and also take my dogs on long walks and encounter many people. 2. I don't have a therapist 3.Having pets definitely helps for sure. I think I'd feel more isolated without them 4.Most expat try their hardest to create community so that they don't feel lonely.

@@PivotPixie Thank you. I will definitely add pets, community and work to my routine!

Thank you for making this video and being so transparent. I'm looking to move to GDL in just a few short months from LA and I'm doing as much research as I can from other expats/nomads. While I've lived in a few different cities throughout California my whole life, a new country is completely new territory. I'm nervous, but excited. Love your channel.
@PivotPixie Жыл бұрын
Yea moving out he country is a whole other beast. And definitely do as much research as possible. Overall, you'll adjust and find your footing even if it takes some time.

I can totally understand that feeling (especially in someone young, like yourself). I'm sure I will miss my son dearly, but if I'm being real with myself, I also realize that he has a full life to lead, a work life, a love in his life, & there really isn't time in this crazy world for everything that we might wish for. We only have this life, so live it. Also, remember...when you are thinking about things that you may be missing, those close to you might be thinking, "Damn, I wish I were in Mexico!" ✌♥️

I can so relate! IM living in an area here with no other expats and it feels like that. But I plan to move where there are more expats and locals that speak english. I can speak some spanish but I miss having fluent convo and connections at times
@PivotPixie Жыл бұрын
Not being fluent in Spanish truly isolated you. Only being able to stay a few things. It’s the worst.
