A set of hose removal pliers would help a lot. They grip the hose all the way around without putting too much pressure in one spot. Makes hard hoses much easier to remove.

I recognize that this may not be the most popular or correct opinion, but when it comes to Marijuana and hemp or whatnot, I say we oughta tax it and treat it like we do tobacco or alcohol. We tried prohibition with alcohol back in the 20s and 30s and it did nobody any good in the long term. I mean with a sane tax and a bit of minor regulation it oughta not only pay for itself but help take burden off tax revenue for other more important things.

It does the opposite belive it or not here in southern California the black market has boomed because people dont want to pay the taxes a gram of good weed goes for $15 and in the legal store it is $30
@Jasonhb074 жыл бұрын
@@timmensch3601 I know of a few "illegal" growers who sell their yields directly to black market dealers. They completely circumvent taxes and state regulations. At a huge risk...with huge payoffs.

I agree Warren, also I can prove you are incorrect about Sugar as I have an engine to show you what happens when someone puts sugar in it. Have law enforcement to back me up and a lab test to boot. It ruined a valued engine.

All the crazy things you have to do in the field. The country Church bus story, short form: Drove 60 miles to look at their bus (no brakes, 68 GMC hydrovac)call date 1992, went looked, all the brake lines rusted and rotten, told them the bus was not worth the ruff Estimate $3500 to completely replace all parts from pedal out to drums and shoes. Felt so bad I didn't charge them for the call. I happen to read in the wkly county news a couple wks later (headline) "Local Church Bus Driven Into Lake" after brake failure with *footnote* Don't use copper gas line parts for brake lines !!!

I always liked the Cat 3208's. We got them in all 5 old New Holland combines we still run. You can't run em hot though. I had trouble with one not shutting down from the cab sometimes, we got used for parts. it ended up being the feul soleniod and arm assembly was rusted up from setting so long outside. Pulled the solenoid and some wd40 took care of it.
@scampsboytes90885 жыл бұрын
I like them also and have had great success with them also. Cat will be more than happy to inform you that they are certainly not throw away, they just aren't sleeved and they require proper care and they will perform and last a long time. Like any engine it is how they are treated.
@markgroth43805 жыл бұрын
They call them 3208s throwaway engines because they have no sleeves, but there is many more reasons to throw them away. Lol
@desertbob68354 жыл бұрын
I used to use a Chevron jobber for diesel and petro products out of Ventura that had a fleet of'em behind Allisons in their GMC tank wagons. Started off pretty good, great efficiency...but when things go bad on a 3208, they go bad REAL bad. Cyl wall porosity, even using SC2 in the cooling systems, was the first thing to go to crap, blown head gaskets, cracked heads, busted rods through the block (although the Cummins 5.9 seems to be king there)...not a great highway engine at all. Some operators using them in local delivery not requiring sustained RPM (like conventional school buses) seem to run them forever. Marine apps, where 2800 is most of its life, not so good. Heavy equip and combines/tractors...it's 50/50. Guys who service their equipment regularly seem to get more life out of them, but that goes for any engine. Almost as bad as the old GMC Div. ToroFlows of the '60s. Now THERE was a nightmare....typical GM quickie engineering to try to corner a market.

26:24 those knipex are designed to be used as a wrench for hex heads (for that they work surprisingly well). Because they are for that specific purpose they will suck as regular pliers.

There is a powder thing or two that you can pour into a gasoline tank to time delay cause it to catch fire and possibly explode. At least according to a firefighter trained in arson investigation I used to know. I'm not sure if the current formulation of this stuff still works, but I can see grapevine substituting products into something that just makes a mess.

The difference between absolute pressure and "gauge" is absolute includes atmospheric pressure and gauge would read 0 at atmospheric pressure. This is where the term psig or psi gauge comes from.
