I really appreciate these, I'm not Christian. So we don't share all of the same views and life goals ext. But I respect how open, honest, and down to earth you are. Maybe its because I live in the US but its a little different with religion and opposing views, some people tend to be quite head strong. And thanks for recognizing birth control isn't just for pregnancy prevention. I had to be put on at age 13 because I have pre menstrual dysphonic disorder (PMDD for short) its basically bipolar disorder but for your period. It caused me to miss school ext... Hormones can cause a whole mess of issues😂. Also I adore your thrifting videos, you inspire me to go out and thrift more.

I love the part where you talked about being able to be friends with non Christians. I am not religious at all but I believe in good people and I choose to be a good person so it’s so nice to hear someone who is a lovely Christian woman having grace and acceptance for someone with a different/or non-existent spiritual mindset. I love your content and wish we were friends. Your babes are beautiful and I’ve been watching your videos since I was pregnant with my first son. Thanks for being genuine and awesome!

Honestly the best way to switch from mommy mode to romance mode is to work on things that increase intimacy. Take a shower together or cuddle or sit in the car with the baby monitor. You have to almost bring back the feelings of just you two.

I completely agree. Those are the kinds of things my husband and I do to encourage intimacy.

Ppl who get married above 18 have something to say like ALWAYS all the time what a shame right? Like if a girl or boy from a foreign country get married forced or arranged or by love it’s still a bad thing right? But no even if you’re above 18 there’s something to say . Waaaaaaay back men would marry a girl at least 7 years younger than them it wasn’t a problem but it was like something to be praised (exactly like wtf) but back then men and women were very mature very wise know their responsibility but no they weren’t perfect. What I’m trying to say is , People who get married at around 19 or later than before 25 know what they’re doing and shouldn’t be judged honestly is because we have that responsibility that idea in our head , what we both know what we want ,we are mature in enough to know what we both are doing and of course we still need help but you get what I’m saying? I got married almost 20 and my husband was turning 25 and ppl are so shocked when they find out we are married not dating .

When you were talking about wanting a different gender, I felt like that’s exactly what I needed to hear. I just found out I’m having a little boy, and it’s exciting but I felt a little sad deep down. I feel terrible because I’m grateful to have a healthy baby and I know that’s in God’s perfect plan for our family, but life with my daughter has been so wonderful that I was hoping for another girl. It’s just nice to know it’s ok to feel those things and know that it doesn’t detract from enjoying a precious boy. 😊

I’m the literal big sister in my family and I don’t have any friends who are married so I’ve felt very on my own. It’s been great to watch your videos and get real life advice from someone I respect. I also appreciate the way you talk about being Christian. Christianity isn’t a monolith, and it’s nice to hear someone talk about Christianity in a way that is more in line with my beliefs and practices and not the rigid interpretation I see in other KZbin channels. Thank you for being you!

I'm Asian American and most people who have it are Asian but not all. It means you lack or have less of an protein involved in digesting alcohol, so a toxic chemical can build up in your system from drinking. On the bright side, we will never be alcoholics because we can't really drink enough to get drunk before feeling sick. Look it up if you think I might be right!

Hey Delilah looove you and your videos! just wanna say something quick though: to say that guys 'want sex all the time' (at 15:18 ) is just a HUGE misconception. Sexual drive and desire are absolutely not the same for everyone of the same gender..... hope you don't take this the wrong way, this was perhaps a slip of the tong, but yeah, i just believe it's bad to perpetuate things like these :( (i say 'bad', because it can make a guy who is watching you and who isn't very sexual to feel weird and self conscious and a woman who has a high sexual drive to feel alienated and odd too. ) all the best for you from a dedicated subscriber from portugal
@MultiDaisy19954 жыл бұрын
I feel that this was the best way to word this. I felt the same way, but I didn’t know how to address it without seeming critical.
@jessielindsey6023 жыл бұрын
I agree. I think there are a lot of generalizations about sexuality and gender differences that can be damaging. Delilah did not say or imply this - still these types of generalizations feel on the same path (to me) toward really harmful social ideas like ‘guys can’t help themselves’ that leads people to excuse sexual harassment or assault. Like guys can’t control their sexuality? Which is also insulting for men. In general, social norms and expectations play a huge influence in our behavior. We don’t want to place a false excuses on biology alone. And these generalizations may contribute to how people feel they are supposed to act. Like if we dress code young girls because “boys will be distracted” then we are sending the message that boys can’t control their desires so it is the responsibility of girls to change their own behavior? Again the slippery slope and larger message can end up looking like “boys will be boys” and therefore putting undue blame/responsibility on women. Again, Delilah didn’t imply anything I really addressed in this tangent. I just feel strongly about these types of social messages or norms. Things can change by teaching young people that we all have autonomy over our body and responsibility to respect others and ask consent

i feel this. i wanted a boy SO bad when i first got pregnant to the point where i bought boy outfits and everything then found out she was a girl. she’s now one week old and i’m so in love with her i can’t imagine her being a boy and now i feel so bad that i even told everyone i wanted a boy at first :/

I have faith in a nature based, pagan religion so I am very far from Christian. In all honesty, I've always had a bit of a negative experience with christianity coming from a Christian education background that wasn't the best experience. However, hearing you talking about your faith and the love of God is really inspiring and lovely to hear. You make christianity a lot more approachable, and I love watching you and your family grow ♥️

14:30 - do you see this smile? :D It's this kind of smile you see on someone's face while he/she is talking about his/her SO. Love this q&a!

Hi Delilah, would you be open to discuss how you have learnt and adopted natural family planning into your life postpartum? I’m really interested to hear how you got started and which resources you would recommend. Thank you so much for your content! Much love from Australia 💛🥰

You track your cycles and after a few months you're aware of your typical ovulation week, and can act accordingly every month. That's my understanding of it. I found apps really helpful, and tracking cervical vaginal discharge (egg white cervical mucus) - I typically feel ovulation pain too when this occurs so I know i'm definitley ovulating. I've heard tracking your temperature can be helpful too. I got pregnant the first month we tried thanks to tracking my cycles and being very aware of my body, so I imagine it works the same way for not getting pregnant. I hope that helps.

"egg white" cervical mucus is typically present when you ovulate. Forgot to mention that.

My advice for switching to "romance mode is to schedule it! Just because its scheduled doesnt mean it wont be sexy or intimate or fulfilling.

I can relate. Everyone hoped that mine was a girl (except me) but I knew it deep inside my heart that was a baby boy and when was confirmed during my scan, nobody wanted to believe me! But I'm the happiest with my baby boy and I was hoping for a boy, God had a plan for me and I will be forever grateful to him for my baby Markus ❤❤❤

My fiance isnt as religious as me, but he is okay with waiting until marriage because its important to me. He goes to church with me and shares many of my ideals. We are not a "perfect" Christian couple, but we are now engaged and still have no problem with saving ourselves and being moral members of society.
