We seem to be getting reamed by US Amazon vendors. Same vendor lists for $130 on US and $349 on Canadian. Exchange is only about 30% and they charge 5.99 Canadian for shipping instead of $4.35 as well. Thats about a 230% markup on top of the existing profit margin of about 5.5%. I have the linear version and I love it. Originally thought about getting a Corsair K70 with Cherry MX switches, but Im glad I didnt. The keys dont wobble as much and what I like about this keyboard is that there is no led light bleed underneath the keys. I just wanted the letters to be lit up and not underneath. This rgb keyboard does just that. And the cushion is soo nice!

I got one of these recently and I am loving it, I haven't had a high-end mechanical keyboard before and I am so happy with all the customization options and the USB passthrough and how I can change the switches, yes it was expensive but it was so worth it. got it with a Logitech MX master as well which is also amazing

I've had this keyboard for a 2 years and still love it. By the way, I emailed customer support and asked about the threaded hole on the back. Their reply: "The screw port on the back of Logitech G513 mechanical gaming keyboard was added to support the attachment of potential future 3D printed or custom accessories." Also, you cannot buy the wrist rest separate. :(

One of the buttons of my g513 was broken during the game, even though it was my fault, i emailed them and they sent me all the buttons for free, i have broken one, but they sent them all. If you ever needed to replace the wrist rest, just mail em. Logitech has got by far the best customer support i seen

Just ordered this a couple days ago. Should be getting it tomorrow. Before this I had the Ornata, right now I'm using a throwaway dell keyboard lol. The starlight effect and the keystroke effect look very very good on this keyboard because the lighting doesn't spill over to other keys.

I have G413, the material durability no doubt - outstanding, but after 2 years usage swiches obtained double typing issue. So it's a dissapointment. I ordered G513, but just because it was on -40% sale and at that price it's worth, even if it'll obtain again after 2 years double-click issue, but I hoping that newer keys will have this issue resolved. But if G513 breaks after 2 years, I think I'll go with Razer.

I have owned both 513s. The Tactile for about a week and I didn't end up liking it after about 2 weeks, but I switched over to the Linear and I love that. It does have the best wrist rest I ever felt. I never really used the media keys of any keyboard I have owned so that is no big deal to me.

i fell in love with the G413 when i saw it in person. sleek, sturdy, no nonsense design. the only deal breaker for me on that one was the red lighting. i'm not a fan of RGB by any means, but it's nice that you can change the color of the lighting now with the G513.

I've been using this board since it came out. I went to Fry's, the employee there was also really interested in how the keys felt, and we popped that sucker open in the store. He and I both thought they felt really nice. It is a quiet keyboard. It is not as quiet as the Cherry MX Silents BUT... and this is a very important BUT... many boards with the Cherry Silents have oddly loud Spacebars. I'm coming from the Corsair Strafe with Silents and the damn spacebar was like a shotgun going off by comparison. Meanwhile this keyboard the spacebar is actually the quietest key on the board, and honestly, despite the keys overall being a little louder, that spacebar makes a world of difference. I see where the criticism on the lack of media buttons makes sense. I do actually own a USB volume knob though, which I greatly prefer to any volume button/knob that I've found on a keyboard.

THIS keyboard is what I have been waiting for. A clean keyboard with RGB with NO dedicated media buttons, I like the Romer-G switches and that they are a bit more quieter is just a plus in my book. The fact that logitech gives you some add-ons on every keyboard is a nice touch, g413 gives you gaming keycaps and a keycap remover which is very welcoming to the keyboard

I believe the tripod mount is for VR accessories like the Vive Tracker. It's a nice forward thinking feature, that probably doesn't cost much, although would make more sense if the keyboard was wireless.

Something to note about the Romer-G is that it is 1000% an acquired taste. I was one of the many haters of the switch before I bought my G413 as a die-hard Cherry MX Red/Brown fan. I absolutely hated the sound of it and I never liked the feel of it every time I tried it at my local Best Buy. The G413 went on sale last month for $50 so I was like, what the fuck, might as well give it a chance. After about a week or so I fell in love with it and now I won't be going back to reds/browns for a while. They feel extremely light and fast for FPS games. It really does feel like the perfect combination of red/brown/silver once you adjust to the feel. But I suppose it isn't for everyone, and you need an open mind to actually like it.

One thing different with newer models, it seems that in the video the media playback icons (on the side of the function keys) are RGB. However, I ordered one a few months ago that does NOT have this RGB lighting. Media icons are a gray color. This also applies for alternative characters (4 is RGB but $ is not RGB, ; is RGB but : is not, etc.) for new models.

Great review on this kbd! I was keeping my eye on this at my local Micro Center. Today it goes for $140. Yes I agree, the dedicated media control is missing and dedicated game keys are gone. Going to miss my G710+ with all the coolness features. The USB passthrough and wrist pad is a big plus IMO. Going to put one on instore pickup now. Tactile version of the G513. Full size premium keyboards should have dedicated media controls. Logitech used to be so good about this while Razer languished. Now Razer's top boards have good media controls and Logitech's latest stuff lacks it.

I bought this keyboard a few months ago from the Logitech site as I had a 20% discount code and what a steal. I love the keyboard, my best purchase yet. The memory foam wrist rest is brilliant. I get no tiredness from long computer sessions, is very comfortable and easy to clean. I love the clean asthestic of the RGB lighting and overall I would recommend this keyboard to anyone. It fits perfectly with my G502 mouse which I already own and I have light synced the lighting between the two with no issues. The accompanying software is simple to use and offers alot of options to customise.

That threaded hole is for mounting to a stand. A lot of offices have COWs (Computers On Wheels) that don’t have a flat part to rest the keyboard on, it just has the keyboard sticking out on a little arm; that threaded hole is to secure the keyboard to the arm.

READ THIS BEFORE YOU BUY: I wouldn't mind spending 100+ on a keyboard, especially as a programmer, gamer, and a keyboard being the primary tool by which you interact with the computer. But here is my BIGGEST CON: - G513 is extremely classy, minimalist, beautiful and rigid steel base, BUT, THE GODDAMN KEYS CANT BE REPLACED. Logitech is using their own proprietary switches, and you can't buy replacements once they get worn bald, turn glossy, and end up looking cheap again. If you use regular switches with the + stump, you can replace them with beautiful switches that cost less than 20 bucks on amazon. If I'm getting a keyboard that's going to last me, this is not going to cut it in my books. Logitech offers a new blue switch that has the regular + switch, but it's noisy imo (some may prefer it). Additionally if you're getting a keyboard like Razer with macro keys, also keep in mind, macro keys wont come with your key set. And the bottom row is non-standard, so a few keys might not be replaceable. So before you by a "gaming" keyboard, you might want to find one with fully replaceable keycaps. Choose at your discretion guys.

I’m find with the standard stem that comes with Cherry, Kaihl, and what not. I’m also a fan for clicky keyboards and a more cleaner look since my desk is literally a keyboard, a white desk, a monitor, and a mouse with a PC. No wacky, USB hub even if it is more useful. Those are under my desk hidden, and since my Strafe is basically garbage, I’m looking for a new keyboard and this seems perfect.

I've been using my G710 with Cherry Blue switches for about 2 years now, It's my favorite addition to my gaming setup, actually. For Christmas later that year, I bought my brother the G910 Orion Spectrum, and I've got to say, I'm not a big fan of the RomerG switches. They feel a bit mushy for my liking, and not having that tactile bump sounds like that would be even more the case. I do think that the board itself looks quite aesthetically pleasing, and would fit well in a minimalist-style setup, and that wrist rest looks heavenly to type with. Having the G-keys is another big plus for my 710, as they're all right there on the left side, and you don't lose any F key functionality. I do love Logitech's peripherals, but I just wish their newer keyboards had a little bit more choices for switches.

That hole in the front of the keyboard is for an HTC vive sensor so you can see your keyboard without taking off the headset. Kudos to that guy in randomfrankp's comments

Romer Switches feel bad. Definitely not as crisp or solid feeling as any of my MX boards. Save up 10 more dollars guys and just buy a Ducky Shine 6. Better quality, any MX switch you want, full RGB, etc.

I've owned 2 G Pros and 1 810 and I wouldn't recommend them over Ducky Keyboards. I haven't taken the G Pro out of it's box since I got it. I've even ordered a second Ducky with MX Silvers because I miss the shorter actuation and travel of the keys. MX switches, while not the smoothest are a lot smoother than Romer G. Not to mention you can swap the keycaps with custom ones. Most ducky keyboards already come with pretty decent keycaps, usually double-shot PBT which doesn't shine as easily and the legends don't wear, Logitech's keycaps polish after a year of use and feel very cheap in comparison. They're also laser etched over black paint, so eventually they will wear.

Mx red is good, mx brown is not good, mx blue is unique typing experience. Romer g tactile - is strange mebmrane keyboard imitation, romer g linear < mx speed

The keyboard with the clicky switches is by far the best keyboard I've used in my life. I wish Logitech would make a wireless version of the G513. The only thing I can fault Logitech on is not making the Wrist Rest magnetic, otherwise the keyboard gets a 10/10. Nothing on the market at the moment competes against it. These are all my opinions though.

Love the keyboard was given to me as a birthday present, had it 6 months and the up arrow key broke off. Raised a ticket with Logitech and supplied them with a picture. They advised it should be replaced with a new one so contacted Amazon and new keyboard arriving today, will only send old keyboard back and keep the wrist support

I have had my G810 since day one and have loved it since. I personally think the 810 has more value than the G513. Plus the 810 is a older model as well and goes on sale more often. Depending on where you look.

Yup. I got my G810 in January this year for $129 on sale (Canadian) so a far better value than this. I do like the look of the G513 though, as I don't really ever use the media keys anyway.

While I really like the simple aesthetic design of this keyboard, it seems that my next keyboard will also be from Corsair, just like the current K95. Design is similar to Logitech’s clean lines, but the included media keys, volume knob, and more key switch choices seals the deal for me. I wonder, who is the stupid person in Logitech’s design/marketing department, who doesn’t see what market wants?

Damn, thanks for the review! I got a Logitech G810 and it broke within 8 months with a key and they said it was urgent for an RMA process, but because it is discontinued, I'm getting this one instead. Did I get a better keyboard? Edit: bought the G810 for £60, so essentially I've gotten the G810 and the G513 for £60.
