They usually are .. I mean it's kinda by natural social order haa ha .. They're usually the fattest, biggest most unathletic guys on the team .. So I think that's why they seem to have a natural humility about themselves .... So in layman's terms (They're not that cool) haa ha smh😂🤦🏾‍♂️

@@AKASOB What are you talking about bruh?? This isn't a debate🤦🏾‍♂️ .. If you read what I said, I was explaining the psyche around the premise of the original comment.. I literally said "Social order" .. Which applies to middle school kids, high school kids, college kids , The NFL & everyone in between.. My statement is universal.. It's just showing you how in society we rank each other & how in return this has an internal effect on our outter perception & how we perceive ourselves .. Which is why I said the linemen develop a natural humility.. My comment was far bigger then the NFL .. The NFL is just one of the many microcosm on the effects of social order .. I think my comment went over your head though because it's silly to imply that I'm saying all linemen are unathletic smh???🤦🏾‍♂️🤔.. They're obviously athletic offensive linemen out there.. Social order is about statistics, so you discuss it in majorities .. You know what NVM man .. Just know that my comment is not meant for debate.. I'm giving you facts, far more vast then the NFL 🤦🏾‍♂️

I love the touch that nobody gets into football wanting to play offensive line, but one by one they all fell in love with asserting their will on the other team's line. The guys with hands in the dirt are almost always some of the most underrated athletes in football. To be as nimble as these guys were while carrying all that extra mass is pretty incredible

@sahils.5810

maybe cause in their case they always have to eat way more to maintain their build while playing so they eat less after retiring and look more fit as opposed to wide receivers who are all muscle and as soon as they retire and stop working out constantly they put on fat easier

My buddy was the Center for Wisconsin ‘03-‘07 and played around 310 and up to 320, when he stopped playing, he dropped like 70lbs in no time. I asked how it happened so fast, and he said he was still working out all the time, but was eating maybe 1/3 of the food that he was when in college. He had to learn new lifting regiments that wasn’t as intense and matched his calorie count. When you go from eating 6000-8000 calories a day and burning through it, to burning the same amount and only eating maybe 2000-2500, it drops like lightning.

To me, offensive linemen are the most interesting players on a football team and the most fascinating to watch. All successful football teams have one thing in common and that's an offensive line that is the backbone of their squad. Years ago, I met Jonathan Ogden and Jerry Kramer, who has been a hero of mine since reading his books many decades ago. Both are total gentlemen and wonderful to speak with.

I love how offensive lineman like to joke that defensive lineman are stupid. Jerry Kramer was at an awards banquet when he played for the Packers and had a run-in with Detroit Lions all-pro Defensive Tackle Alex Karras. Karras had gotten an award and attempted to inject humor into the proceedings: Alex Karras: "Jerry Kramer is the best guard in football, if you don't believe it just read his book." Jerry Kramer: "I'm very flattered for the compliment Alex, but who read the book to you?"

I love the panel, but no O-Pace is a little sad. That was the first jersey I ever bought, and he's why I played tackle. A beast and a half

Bruce nailed when he said big guys are told to be careful. I don't know how many times we would tell offensive linemen "it's ok to be mean out here"

I think Forrest Gregg had recently passed away when they recorded this. I would’ve loved to hear what he had to say playing alongside Jerry and Vince Lombardi

Larry Allen made the 100 anniversary team, they just gathered a few guys at each position to talk about it. John Hannah is not in here either. But he is on the team.

I think you need a Center here. Mike Webster or Dermonti Dawson or Kevin Mawae would be great.
