Inspirational video Aubrey. I was these Sunday and saw you and Fordy just after the finish line. 3 years ago aged 49 I was overweight and looking at a miserable future. 3 years on and the joy of just running has brought me new and fresh life. I really enjoyed Sunday... but you know what? Perhaps I should have pushed a bit less, enjoyed it a bit more and worried about the PB less.... after all the joy is why I continue to run.keep on doing what you do. No doubt you'll inspire some people on the way 👍👌

I did most of it on Sunday. It’s very straight forward when you write out the story first and know the direction of the video, where people go wrong is that they just film a race and share it without the story behind it. Cheers for the encouragement

Yes sir… I can’t argue with that at all. But you know what’s sad… there aren’t many vlog like this. Most vlogs I see are PB kind of runs and it makes people feel pressured to do the same. If you note, I don’t say what time I got or the splits at all. I’ll break all of that down later but for now the intention was just celebrating life and health.

Great job Aubrey! Glad to see you doing better and out running for enjoyment. I had 3 back surgeries and the one time I had pressure against a nerve that was so painful for months, I begged God to just take me out. Another one I had a bone spur growing into my spinal cord and I could have become paralyzed for life, so they had to do immediate surgery to cut the bone away. So, I can truly understand. I am 65 and I have problems in knees and both feet (need surgery on both feet, but I am procrastinating as I don’t want surgery). So I don’t try to run, but I walk briskly more miles than I should. But the pains in my knees and feet inhibit me from going further (I been limiting to 4 - 9 miles at a time). I was going up to 14-16 mile walks, but simply hurt me too much. My sister just passed away last Thursday, 2/22, so your message of enjoying the limited time we have hits home also (she had esophageal cancer). Best wishes to you on continued recovery and enjoying life and running for fun. I enjoy your shoe reviews. Cheers from the other side of the pond in Pennsylvania.
