Great idea. Love your videos that I have just found. I am 64 and just started prepping about a year ago. My husband thinks I am wasting my time and money, but I believe God is leading me. God bless you and your family. Keep up the good work.

Who would have thought to do something like that! Oh. YOU WOULD! You are amazing as always.

That is about the only problem. I sometimes am my own enemy as I give the jars as gifts almost as fast as I make them. A nice jar of cookies always makes people smile especially when they aren't feeling well.
@perbain11 жыл бұрын
I have mostly done this with sugar, chocolate chip, and oatmeal. I would think all the others would be fine. What I really like is the ability to grab a jar, add a bow and give as a gift.

Thanks Noreen. I sure will put an order through because I really use a lot of this and to think I'm skimpy with it. Thanks for the tip. You are always such a great help.

Deb: If you go to the baking queen dot com you can get parchment paper sheets for pennies! I order from her about once a year. The more you buy the better deal you get. I but 1000 sheets at a time, but you can buy less. When you see the breakdown you will understand why I buy that much at once. Your cookies look great! Cookies don't last long enough to seal up in my house!

I make bulk batches of cookies and quick breads in advance of Christmas, store them in the freezer then give them out as gifts. Never thought about putting some in a jar and saving for later. Thanks Deb!

I did your little trick of putting a lid upside down and it worked like a charm! And now that I've seen THIS video, I certainly plan on making my hubby's favorites to "store" for later. Like you, I'll have to hide them! -- Wendy

Perbain, thank you for sharing such valuable info but even more so for having a positive outlook. Many others are nasty, negative and just leave me feeling horrible. Your way of teaching gives us hope and that's a huge gift. No matter how much we prepare, if we have a bad attitude, we're not going make it. (Cookies also help! LOL)

This is perfect timing since I'm making different kinds of cookie dough to use and freeze today but my freezer is kind of full. I'll bake and can some too. Thanks Deb. I also love parchment, I've tried silicone sheets but I don't like the way the grease kind of stays on it. I love my Kitchen Aid mixer and like to make a bunch of dough once I have it out.

Looks so delish. Lovely cup of tea and one of your cookies Yum. I'll be right over put the kettle on girl. lol My hubby is a sweet nut and watches me like a hawk so he can pounce on the bowl the batter was in before the kids run in and get it. He will fight the kids tooth and nail for that dog gone bowl. Funniest thing, and he won't let me use a rubber scraper to get it all out of the bowl either. I am so going to can up some goodies now. Thanks Deb. Good thoughts sent to you. :)

What an awesome idea! Thanks so much. I will definitely be adding to our stores some prebaked cookies:) I've had to freeze some before and they just get yucky. We use the small oxygen absorbing packets in our dehydrated veggie jars. Have you ever used them? It should be okay to use them in the cookies also I would think:)

Heeelp! I watched a video that said to never can raisins, chocolate, dried fruit like trail mix, cookies with 02 absorbers as it can cause botulism. I just canned 40 jars this week because another YT video said it was okay! What should I do? Remove the O2 absorber, start over and dry can or use a vacuum sealer?
