With winter time quickly approaching and the mosquitos have trapped our team indoors what are some really nice hitting drills that can be performed in let’s say 1/2 of a 2 car garage.

Can you help me adjust this for youth ages. 8,9,10, and 11 or 12 at most? Due to only having very small amount time with kids and knowing very little of what they do outside of practice makes it hard to judge reps and intensity. Say maybe 1 or 2 practices tops at times a week for 1.5 to 2 hr practices. Hopefully that makes sense of my question.

Focus on command and break with people who haven't hit puberty yet... Velocity will come later but it isn't required

150 Is poor for a 15 year old. Keep doing it and you’ll progress. Also get in the weight room. (I’m 13 and I can do 225 feet)

@@braxtonscarbrough5713 yeah for 15 max 150 feet isnt too good, I’m 15 and can throw 280 feet pushing 300

Hey coach I'm a freshman in highschool and want to play professional ball. I take 200 swings a day 4-5 days a week. I also throw about 25 warm up throws 25 long toss and 25 from pitching distance 2-3 days a week. Tell me what else I need to do. I'm open to anything. Love your videos. Thanks

Your back leg Is probably too straight...bend your back knee more as in "drop and drive" like you may have heard from coaches before

I have a question about hitting, when I’m practicing such as in the batting cages and do very well but when it gets to game time I get very nervous and my Batting skill goes way down can u make a vid about how to calm your nerves when batting. Thanks!
@scotthulsey87635 жыл бұрын
Breathing helps take deep breaths before you step in the box and release the breath in a long drawn out relief.I read this calms nerves.

I have a decent amount of drop on my fastball as well...does this mean throwing for a longer distance is less beneficial for me in longtoss? Also what is a good start off for someone who throws low 80s...

Assuming this does not remain true for youth baseball? Talking about 8 & 9 year olds in the offseason? Our head coach is strongly against throwing of any kind pretty much.

Power comes from ground up. Work on leg, core strength. Fast twitch explosive exercises. Long toss put too much stress on elbow.
