This is pretty standard, the blue lighting in a Siemens dishwasher.

Don't forget, run the hot water at the tap first and make it hot that way theres no cold water going into ur wash

Most dishwashers, including this one, are cold water inlet appliances. Note that he showed the water inlet for it and it was blue, indicating cold. The appliance heats the water. In the majority of cases your advice is not applicable.
