Loretta is a very wise woman,she knew what she was talking about she has experienced what all women go through and that is life we all go through changes in our , but we pull ourselves up by the boots,and meet struiglleing along and no body gives up for anything and neither did she she has been my strength through all the years I was growing up, if u listen to her songs u just might learn a few things.

How awesome for Loretta to be her age and still writing and singing her music. Jack White said "I don't think she realizes how blilliant she is. She can still hang in there with all of the younger singers. She will always be the Queen of country music. I do wish that her Daddy could have lived to see how successful she was. May God Bless Her with many more years.

I believe I am Loretta's biggest fan she is my idol! My momma would sing Loretta's songs to us driving to Rock Island Illinois back to Kansas City KS and I know she sang at her job people would come from all over to hear my momma sing! My momma could sing Loretta's songs and she had a beautiful voice till she was murdered in Illinois and I hold on to those memories but Loretta Lynn was my momma's idol to! Still today I sing to my grandbabies and will cont. For the rest of my life! I love you Loretta Lynn and it's on my bucket list to meet you someday!

I'm not Doolittle's biggest fan myself but I wish that reporters/whatever would just stop constantly asking her about this. The man has been dead for over 15 years.
@loriehret65269 жыл бұрын
Mc Hobbit I agree...we all know the answers to questions about him and her answers will not change. She loved him no matter what and that is all there is to know. :)
@mchobbit29519 жыл бұрын
+anita tichacek I think there would be plenty of examples out there that don't involve asking an 80 year old widow the same questions over and over again. That's just rubbing it in and disrespectful to her. It's not like it'll help her or anyone else now, he's dead. I actually doubt that anyone from other countries thinks that Americans are perfect anyway.
@mchobbit29519 жыл бұрын
+anita tichacek Yes, he did. But that's what people constantly bring up to defend him. I do recognize that we probably wouldn't have ever heard her sing if it weren't for him but that doesn't make him a good husband. I think that a big part of it was just wanting to bring in money for his family vs. helping her with her career- and there is nothing wrong it that. But people always act like he did it only out of love for Loretta. I have to admit, I don't know as much about Patsy Cline and while I do believe that Charles Dick was well, a dick Patsy sadly did not live long enough to give her side of the story. But I did read Loretta's books, the way she explains away some of his behavior or shrugs it off as "normal" etc. I believe everything she says in those books because of the way she tells it, plus she doesn't portray herself as a saint either. She's clearly suffering from Stockholm Syndrome when it comes to Doolittle. Either way, I don't think that we should be saying "So and so was abused worse". We don't know the full extend of abuse either one went through. But Patsy Cline was a great lady and Loretta Lynn still is. I don't think that these men truly knew what they had.

Hate to disagree, but you have no idea if Doolittle was a good husband or not. That is nobody's business but Loretta's. She was happy with him and loved him, so it was her decision to stay with him until his death. Period. Also, if it wasn't for him, the world would never know about Loretta Lynn. Period.

I hate the way the lady says, "well why just not divorce him!?" Lemme tell ya that there are some country gals that just have that love/hate thing in their bones n like she said, " it ain't one time he hit me that i didnt hit him twice!" n honey that's the truth!! You love hard and you fight hard! That's just a country folks way! When u get 2 fire crackers together n u lite the flame they're both gonna blow!! She is what she is whether people like it they don't! It don't make no difference! He gave her the fuel for all those hit records n I'm sure he loved her more than any person could ever know!! Loretta's the queen so she can do what she wants!! I've always loved her n always will! I been hearin her since birth n she will always be my favorite regardless of what people these days say about her!! Long live the queen! 👑

Michelle Godoy I completely agree with you. Besides, even if other people were okay with getting divorced, maybe they weren't. My grandparents weren't, my parents weren't & neither am I. Some people just don't believe in divorce, I sure don't! We made vows before our God, our family & friends. We promised to love & honor one another in this life & the next. So the lady doing the interview needs to realize that just because she would divorce a man if he did those things to her doesn't mean that the next woman would. Some people actually believe in sticking it out & working through it. I believe it has a lot to do with your background/upbringing as well.

Nobody deserves to be hit. I grew up in a home were my mom was beaten by my father. She didn't believe in divorce either. Then one day he killed her. So fuck you and your stand by your man bullshit. NO man will ever hit me.

Lisa, First of all, I'm speechless. I'm truly sorry for your pain. Jesus was also a a martyr to death, so always remember your mother this way. The bible does not condone violence in marriage and your mother sounds like a true warrior for the faith. God bless you for sharing.

Michelle Godoy. Right..i was married to the love of my life, we loved each other very much, but soon after we married he aimed to start getting mean, I said ' you lay a hand on me,you'll be in jail before the sun goes down & if my 3 brothers don't kill.you I will .!' He never did hit me, we argued but like Loretta, I was just as mean & gave it right back. (My husband died 2 years ago, would of been 70 the month after he died) not long before he died he handed me a .22 pistol, I now keep it on the arm of my recliner, covered, but handy...lol We were from Kentucky also. Most women learn to take care of themselves.
