Even Pixar has fallen in my opinion, Toy Story 4 felt so betraying. A good chunk of that film was just cheap unmotivated gags paired with an exhausted love story that didn't justify the ending. They had almost 2 hours of storytelling to build it up but failed.

@semelatifofalism58334 жыл бұрын
Fangle Animatronic you dont have the rights to talk like that, stop motion animation takes a long time to make, most films like these are shot on 24 FPS, i said most, so they need to take 24 pictures to make one second, to make one minute it takes 2400 pictures. and its not only the animation that takes long, the sets too and the figures, they had to make their own figure, they have to make their own sets, like at the water thing that is complicated because how are you gonna animate water, i know that the water isnt real but it is soo good looking. Everyone wants a part two even i do but you have all that wasted time they have to keep making other stuff it cant be the same everytime.

This short conjured up so many contemplations of lifes big questions. In the spirit of "Memento Mori," one could say that we all have a string of our yarn tied to a nail, and with every step it gets ever shorter. The difference is that we can't always tell when the yarn ends.

This is such an amazing short. In just over 7 minutes it managed to tell a more compelling story about love and self sacrifice, as well as the aftermath of that sacrifice, than most film makers can with multi-million dollar feature films. Also I disagree with people asking for a second episode. Not all stories have to have a happy ending. The fox broke the chopstick holding the door open so that the Dinosaur would stop destroying themselves in an effort to be a hero. In the end, the Dinosaurs need to save the Fox is just too strong, and they're willing to sacrifice everything to save them. I think that the Dinosaur coming back would undercut the power of that sacrifice. This is just my opinion of course.
@dissonantdreams5 жыл бұрын
This. You hit the nail on the head. The ending is heartbreaking, but unfortunately happy endings don’t always happen in life, so they shouldn’t always happen in art either. A sequel where the dinosaur comes back to life would undermine the emotional impact of the original, IMO.
@cockeyedoptimista4 жыл бұрын
I agree with you! It was more effective without the Hollywood ending. Anyhow, it's left slightly up in the air.. I just want to say, though: can't they just be a he and a she? "They.." Good grief. Oh well whatever.
