as long as he is good to you then i'm glad you found someone special. moving in together can be hard. when the newness wears off it can be annoying and get on your nerves because people are on best behavior at first but then let things slip. i'm glad you got 2 rooms. you are special and don't forget it! don't take any misery from anyone (unkindness, cheater, drinker, etc!!!!) just because you feel you are getting older. don't co-mingle your money ever!!!! i hope you are very very very happy and he is a good man! (advice from someone who regretted living together)

Being an introvert, I loved having my privacy but sometimes I also felt very lonely. One night your channel came up randomly in my feed. I watched it and loved it. Please don't take this in the negative but Living with someone will bring so many challenges Lou. Hope you are ready for that. 😊 the two of you should always find a compromise solutions, agreements, etc. whenever you will have different views and beliefs in so many things, since you both have different nationality, so you can live together cohesively. Key word here really is COMPROMISE. Just an unsolicited advice as well, even though that is your apartment, it will be beneficial for your mental health to share the household chores with him. Concerning the language situation, I am married here in the USA to a woman originally from China. Her English was okay, for the most part (with some exception) we can communicate in English. The decision we faced 13 years ago when she arrived was do I learn Chinese or does she expand her English…obviously she was now living in the USA so it was decided that she should learn more English. She did some classes but she has a number of friends here who are Chinese and whenever she is around any of her family it is all in Chinese, and when she listens to any recording or podcast it is in Chinese. Consequently after 13 years here I do not think her English has progressed as much as I would have thought. My recommendation is communicate in English with your boyfriend when necessary but do not avoid the advantage you have to learn more Japanese from a native and try over time to increase your use of Japanese with him and increase your Japanese language skill.

Hi Lou. After I stumbled across your channel a few years ago, I resonated with your journey living in Japan. I am a Pacific Islander from an island 35 miles long and 13 miles wide at it's widest point. My dad is from a small island in the Phillipines although I have never been there nor do I speak the language. I speak English and my mother's tongue. I married a statesider and moved with him to his Midwest American state. I went through culture shock, loneliness, depression. I kept a journal and when I would re-read it, I found that many of my thoughts and feelings then, mirrored what you've been going through and vlogging. Just wanted to share that tidbit about me. Anyways, I wish you all the happiness, joy and satisfaction this universe has to offer as you embark on this new chapter of your life. Keep sharing, we subscribers enjoy it. ❤

So happy for you! Please don't stop uploading. There are vlogs where the other half remains private/hidden, don't think it will be a problem. I hope you will adjust quick to live as two and will have a blissful time (some tension/argument here and there is normal, especially when starting to live together so don't be discouraged. You just need to learn the other person as a homebody type and be patient/understanding). Very good idea to have those regular week days to learn Japanese.

❤ Lou exciting news for you. You can easily make your own ghee at home. Save some jars. Buy some butter and boil it on top of the stove. There are youtube videos on how to make your own ghee! I love the flavor of ghee on toast and veggies and everything ❤ It's very expensive in the United states to buy ghee. You can make a couple of jars at home and they won't go bad. I usually make a couple of jars at one time. Let me know if you make your own ghee. 😊 Best wishes ❤
