Against all odds, I managed to climb out of bed this morning. It was graded 7am. Proper chuffed with myself.

I really appreciate when Louis talks about the process, losing confidence, working the problem, failing, and learning. He explains the process with a refreshing vulnerability that fosters a teaching moment for everyone watching. That's likely what makes him an amazing coach, because even though I can only climb about V5, I find him and his process relateable. There are a million youtube videos of Super Strong Dudes sending tough boulders with a lot of bravado, and you folks do a great job of being different in a way that makes watching more enjoyable. Thank you.

I have bought a cord that keeps your glasses on while climbing or doing any other physical activity. It is shoved over the parts that go behind your ears and connect at the back of your head. I think that would have helped in Louis case.

I wonder what's "special" about V13/14. What I mean is, many top climbers here on KZbin (Emil, Magnus, Louis) have climbed V13 and clearly *can* climb V14 (Emil's heartbreaker remains clear in my memory, and Louis is very strong here also). I imagine, if either Emil or Louis lived near Magic Wood, they'd get this V14 within a season. But almost no one -- none whom I can think of -- have climbed V15. By V15, you're being written about in climbing magazines. Many of the more famous V15s -- Kintsugi, The Nest, Lucid Dreaming, No Kpote Only (yes), From Dirt Grows The Flowers, and so forth -- have only seen a handful of ascents. I have no idea what could separate a V14 from a V15, but maybe stronger climbers could shed some light. Amazing video here from Louis and from all the other KZbinrs mentioned and unmentioned.
