ISFPs have Se as their second function (wich is the one we feel most responsible for), and both INTP and INFP have it as the 7th function (wich is the one we struggle most with, barely use and often overlook). Ask yourself if you are more oriented/grounded in reality and prefer concrete tangible things such as sensorial stimulation and the physical environment around you, or if you prefer concepts and abstract ideas and prefer to think about the future and make connections in your mind between different things. If it's the ladder, then you're probably INXP, if it's the first then ISFP. Hope it helps, good luck discovering your type! :)

@JokerCrowe4 жыл бұрын
Hmm, yeah I can see that kind of pride being a problem for INFJs. We also have this "hidden" side that no one gets to see, and i think we're (at least for me) proud of that. On some level we Like being mysterious. I'm proud of my Inner World. With that being said, I can often find myself being envious of the *ease* with which some people go through life. It must be nice to be able to really live in the Moment, and not give a damn about the "harmony" of any given room; but just saying what you Actually think.

I feel like I could make an argument for either pride or envy. I actually feel its my pride that leads me to be envious. If I am successful then I have a lot of pride but if I'm in the middle of the process or falling behind then I'm envious. Its when I achieve above others and defeat my envy that I become prideful. Example, I feel envious of people who can so easily date and have relationships but I'm holding out for the moment I can totally brag about my future hot boyfriend who probably doesn't exist because I made him up in my head..

Envy is my top, I feel like pride is low for me. I suck at taking pride in what im good at. Most of the time I don’t wanna make another feel bad although that could just be an undiagnosed imposter syndrome which I feel is reasonable for infjs. But envy, man, envy. As an infj who LIVES for people this hurts, seeing others have stable relationships without needing to know the entire soul existence and having the fear of being heartbroken in anyway (missing someone the pain HURTS, loving someone and fear of break up, just attachment because the intimacy of feeling their emotions 24/7 is more than intense, unbearable honestly at times) gets to me. And not being understood as a HUMAN BEING most of the time (my infjs can relate 😌) gets more than tiring to just “accept”. Envy envy envy *sigh*😞
@bananabreadloaf4 жыл бұрын
As an infj I agree with Envy. I am not particularly envious of any other people in specific unless I think they really don’t deserve what they have if their a terrible person. But I don’t necessarily want what they have for me, I just think that other people might be more deserving of that life. But mostly I’m envious of myself, the one in my imaginary universe who has everything she wants and lives the life I want. I’m envious of what I could have but don’t, even though I plan to get it all one day. It’s hard to wait, I’m good at being patient but I Hate it, I just want to be the me in the imaginary future who has it all now. I wonder if any other INFJ’s feel the same way about envy, if it affects you totally differently; I’d love to hear about what you have to say.
@JokerCrowe4 жыл бұрын
I'll give my 2 cents: I have to say that I haven't really thought about envy in the way you do, but I can understand where you're coming from. For me, it's mostly envy of the _ease_ with which some other people seem to live their lives. Fitting in, being in the moment, not caring too much about the "harmony" of the current room you're in - and actually being able to say what you truly think. Being able to form your thoughts into coherent sentences without preparation. :P Being "quick" and good at verbal "jousting". It's not that I want to take it away from others (which I would rather describe as "jealousy"), but I just want that for myself. If I see someone who has a life I would like - someone who seems to have it all together - I'll be very envious because I feel (in my darkest moments) like that will *never* be me. And so, it's hard for me to be envious of myself, in the way you describe it, but it was really interesting to read your angle. :)

I have an ISTP friend who defs fits within the sin of anger. From my observation it's from being overly critical of others and being irritated by their actions. As an ENTP I too am overly critical at times, especially with people I care about, but with an ISTP i think since they don't voice their frustrations as an ENTP would, they become resentful. Maybe some advice is to voice your frustrations to a friend or by writing them down, and evaluate if they way you view the person or situation is justified or not. That defs helps me and I eventually get over whatever slight i may have with a person after realising its really not a big deal and they probably just made a mistake or I interpreted something they said or did wrong.

This was a great one, thank you! I’m wondering if for ENFP in particular, stretching the definition of “Lust” might have made sense. In some literature I have studied, Lust broadens to be a craving for INTENSITY, whereas greed/gluttony is a craving for MORE. Personally, as an ENFP, I much more susceptible to being driven by the need for intensity.

you evaluation on the ENFP is interesting but i completely agree. the new, whatever it may be is very attractive to me. fighting the impulse to trade the old (even if it isn't that "old" and i'm not quite done with it) with something new is always a struggle. the desire to acquire more new things (knowledge, skills, activities, objects, projects, etc) is sometime very hard to suppress. so yes, greed fits the ENPF very well.

I love the video and I agree with all of your choices. The only problem with 7 so-called deadly sins is the fact some of them are really similiar - for example greed and envy often come together (or rather: greed often leads to envy and then envy becomes more prominent); same thing with envy and anger which may have not so much in common, but envy often leads to anger. Besides I love the fact you put INTJ in 'pride' category - I wouldn't choose anything else for myself and your explenation was on point:)

ESTJs and ENTJs are usually lust "8" on enneagram but that lust means "excessiveness" we like everything in excess! Talk louder, walk more confident, be your best friend, be the best boss, buy 2 or more of everything even if we dont need it, we over do everything, will show we love you more then anyone else though our actions etc. We tend to use anger as an intimidation tactic, including forcefulness, by our powerful aggressive personalities. Our angers very controlled compared to explosive emotional types like 1s on enneagram, we use it as a type of strength or power play, to bend things to our will. Can be quite negative/scary at times for sure, and typically seen as the most angry person around, coz our angers like always active in daily life. My dads an 1 ISTP and I'm an 8 ESTJ, my anger out matches his any day. But I'm not erratic or explosive like him, that's a 1 trait. I use mine to keep people in place, to restore order and keep the peace, by showing whose in charge etc LOL sounds strange but its what we try to use it for.

I feel that INFJ being placed under Envy is pretty balanced. Though I was somewhat expecting it to be on Lust (lol). When INFJs yearn for something, they will consider it thoroughly. It's a mix of not gluttony-- but greed & it's a bit complicated. However, it could be a little of everything like ESTPs. INFJ being put in put onto Envy sounded surprising at first to me. But then I remembered the rare moments where I actually got pissed at others for achieving something I tried really hard to *purely* by luck with so little effort in comparison, it almost feels like defying nature. I didn't hold onto it for longer than a week and I just moved on because it's pointless to compete in this specific field that I chose, or any field when you really consider it. If you do want me to talk about it, I'll do so in the replies.

Yeah. I'm an INTP and I find that I often struggle with pride, especially when it comes to intelligence. It's offen very hard for me to be humble when it comes to intellectual ideas and concepts because I know that I have a better understanding of certain things than most people and can see flaws in their views. This leads me to criticize myself internally for showing any pride at all and I usually end up being very reserved about my nerdy and logical intelligence side. Pride is something I try to avoid at all costs, even if it means I underestimate or undersell myself. I find sometimes that I hate how nerdy I tend to be because I constantly wonder if other people are judging me for being prideful. Fun fact: when my friends would share what score they got on a test or report card, I would sometimes lie and say my grade was lower to fit in and to keep from seeming like I was boasting, even though I detest lying. This is something I have learned to deal with and accept about myself, to the point where it doesn't bother me as much as it used to, but it crops up occasionally. Man, that was long.

I usually don't get angry easily.. but when I see someone is not playing fair or doesn't know anything but is trying to convince you they are right.. or when someone is being irrational and illogical... I can just explode. Literally. I also realized I can only express two emotions.. cool and angry lolol like if you say "My dog was ran over by a car." I would be like "Haha damn thats sad.." cause I can't sympathize lol.. if you say "Hey you aced all the exams we had." I would be like "Okay cool." (No happiness expressed here haha).. but if you're like "This is the best way to do this. You should do it like this, it's better then your way." I would say "YOU CAN'T TELL ME THIS IS THE BEST WAY! I KNOW A LOT EASIER AND BETTER WAY TO DO THIS! DON'T TELL ME HOW TO DO SOMETHING I CAN DO BETTER THAN YOU! YOU CAN'T CONVINCE ME YOUR WAY IS BETTER, BECAUSE I KNOW IT'S NOT!
