Not sure if you have a Home Bargains (I believe its a Northern company) but they are competitive for nuts, seeds, spices, salt, butter, coconut oil, ghee.

Dot From Derbyshire Super video, I shop at Tesco's mainly' no Aldi near me. I am a Keto virgin' I've been watching lots of Keto KZbin vids lately and like most of the foods' mainly interested in Keto meal prep for weight loss as I have 40lbs to loose. I loved your video, lots of useful info I have made a list of everything you bought, I would buy most of that. Thank you for sharing, lots of love Dot x

Most cows in Britain are grass fed for most of the year it’s only really in the winter, but even then they eat silage which is grass, with some grains. It’s worth looking to see if you have a local micro dairy as these guys tend to produce grass fed butter, we’re lucky to have a local one which does cream so you can make your own butter, which is super easy to make.

Also it’s cheaper to buy erythritol or stevia from Amazon for the 1kg bag. They do bundles with the icing one and the brown sugar alternative one for like £20 for all 3 types

My favourite Greek yoghurt from Aldi they do a pure Greek yoghurt with 10% fat and like you said you can’t compare when it comes to price. I agree with you. I started buying my own ham since I got my instant pot, cos I make my own cool overnight and it slices lovely. I get a decent ham size for £3

For flax/linseed, it's worth looking in Holland and barret. I got 2kgs for 8 pounds. They're always 2 bags for about 4 quid but they always have a discount code.

Seems odd that people in the UK have imported the obsession with Kerrygold butter, it makes sense in the US as there's a lot of grain feeding but most (pretty much all) dairy cows in the UK are out to pasture. So instead of buying something like Anchor from grass fed cows down the road (or Tesco's own), UK Keto-ers are buying butter imported from Ireland lol
@Nate19752 жыл бұрын
Tesco own butter is the best of those 3 you picked up. Kerrygold one is very salty (and I am love salty butter), but more importantly it burns in the pan very quickly when frying, so not too smooth and the sea salt one is fairly tasteless. I am fussy about my butter though

The supermarkets take the p I agree. Even when you read the shelf edge, some items are priced per unit, others per kg and others per 100g etc Oftentimes you need to be Carol Vorderman to figure out which is the best value! I'm team Aldi all the way too.

Just subbed after watching all your shopping haul videos.👍 We mostly shop at Aldis. Have you ever tried B&M, Poundland, & Poundstretchers, they're great for the odd 1 or 2 Keto ingredients, I often get things like Coconut oil, Nuts, seeds, & Salts there, they're great for Prepping your cupboards, especially with these random object shortages lately. TFS, great content. Off to binge watch some more. Take care everybody. ❤🙂🐶

I always get those avocados. I get 8 and put them in the fridge and get one or two out at a time to ripen. I can't see swoodles on the app. The fage total yoghurt has less carbs. I would say in England, we don't need to worry to much about our cows being grass fed as we can see them in the fields literally eating grass. Americans don't have that privalage

Great explanatory haul for similar products by weight, volume etc... Really good 👍 The supermarkets do take the mick out of their customers because most ppl don't look or think for themselves

I bought the Canderel Stevia Blend as you showed it in this video, however the nutritional info says 99g of carbs per 100g?! Is this correct? Or have they changed the recipe since this video? 🤔
@KetoFitnessClub2 жыл бұрын
Companies count polyols as carbs on the labels - it's the same with Truvia, Natvia & Pure Via. As long as the ingredients are ok (i.e. erythritol, stevia) then you can basically ignore the carbs on the label as all will be polyols :)

Aldi and Lidl are the thinking man's supermarket. From a Keto perspective most supermarkets are full of crap anyway. Not everything is food, its commercial stuff. All processed stuff (food) should be taxed, to encourage people to buy real food.

Tesco is definitely more expensive than their comparable supermarkets (Morrisons, Asda, Sainsbury) but it is worth going in every now and again. I've found Tesco yellow sticker (reduced) fruit and veg can be had at a real bargain and still be okay days later, same with Waitrose fruit and veg. Tesco also have some good club card reductions. Sainsburys have a fair few Aldi price matches now too.

You mentioned Himalayan salt in one of your videos I got mine from b & m check authenticity of it because it’s fake for sure it doesn’t dissolve properly in water (you removed my last comment) check authenticity of your ingredients cheap means crap basically it’s rare to get genuine product and quality for cheap

I find tesco quality better. Food last longer than aldi and has less sugar added. I was horrified to see maltodextrin was second ingredient in aldi unsweetened almond milk. By the way, morrisons do diced frozen swede cheap.
