@williambradshaw18742 жыл бұрын
@@artkesh7452 If you understand what is going on with ketosis you will understand why the cheese is not so bad. Cheese is fat and in a keto diet you need to consume fat. Now I will say that if you are trying to lose a lot of weight you could definitely cut down on the cheese and get thinner faster. This will allow your body to consume your own fat reserves faster. The point being that the cheese will not produce insulin which will then be converted into fat. Your goal is to NOT produce insulin. Consuming carbohydrates and sugar will cause an insulin response and the insulin will convert the carbs and sugar into fat. This fat first stores around your liver area and then migrates to your stomach. This is the cause of many fat tummies.

I wanted to let you know that we got a waffle maker from Aldi that makes those Belgian waffles. So I took this recipe tonight (after making it many times before in oven and microwave) and thought it might work on the waffle maker. OH MY GOODNESS!!! WINNER! We had homemade Arbys with our "belgian" keto hamburger buns, LOL! Cooks perfectly. I got 6 buns (quarter waffles) out of the recipe just to note.

These were delicious! I decided I wanted bigger size, so I took a wide mouth canning ring and lid. I used Crisco inside the ring and on top of lid. Dropped the lid face up in the ring. Then added the dough in each one (it made 6). After they baked beautifully, we let them cool for 5min and then with butter knife, split them in half. My teen son loved it so much, he used it to make a sandwich the next day and ask for us to make a 2nd batch tonight (doubled) so he could have for sandwiches for the week. These have a great flavor. We did bbq pork sandwiches with ours. We make our own pulled pork from pork butt and then used the Keto BBQ sauce, thats it but SOOO good! Thank you so much! Can't wait to try more. I have a long journey ahead but encouraged with your recipes and story. Hugs!!

I just made these buns as per the directions. I used some substitute sugar product and added "everything bagel" shaker to the top. Delicious! I just slapped some butter on one and ate it as is, then froze the rest. Mine only made 6 smaller than the normal burger bun and I used a non stick Yorkshire pudding pan. Thx so much! I will be making many more recipes of this!

Suggestion, dissolve 1pkg of yeast to 3 Tablespoons of lukewarm water . Add this to your mixture on your hamburger buns. It will help them to rise and it will also metabolize the little bit of carbs that are in your nut flour. All keto bakers think that baking powder will allow their breads to rise but without yeast you’re not going to get much rising. They also think that nut flour won’t rise, that is not true . Nut flour will rise if you add yeast to the recipe and allow it to sit or rise for 30 minutes covered , before baking . Not only do you have a nice yeasty risen bread butThe yeast metabolizes any little bit of sugar that are in the nut flour that is what causes the rising , the metabolization of sugar by yeast which means the yeast eats the sugar instead of you. You get a yeasty risen bread w/o carbs...

Exactly. I also add 1/4 cup coconut flour. Hard to rely only on one main ingredient to do all the work. She is entertaining tho.

As soon as I saw this video I decided to run into my kitchen and make these buns. I got to the part where you put the batter into the silicon mold. Uh oh! I don’t have that particular mold. I decided to let the batter sit for a few minutes and then plopped it onto a cookie sheet with a silicon mat. I have really big hamburger buns! Oh well, it works! I’ll be ordering the mold now.

You can bake buns in anything oven safe. 6" pyrex pie plates, 6" corning ware dishes, 3-4" baking pans of any shape even the decorative flower shaped metal baking pans. Pour a thin layer in a loaf pan and cut it in half when baked. Use a cake pan and cut when baked. Depending on the runny-ness of the dough, it can be baked in a large lollipop baking pan for thin buns. Just saying be creative with what you have already. Those made from mainly egg whites will hold their shape so if you want a square sandwich shape, just make your own mold that can be removed before going into the oven. Cut four strips of plastic from a milk jug or any plastic container the width of your slice of "'bread". Make them an inch longer, so 5" if you want a 4" square slice of sandwich bread. Make a slit at the half inch mark on both ends so you can connect four strips into a square sort of like Lincoln Logs. Spread the mixture into the square and continue using it for the remainder. Remember to remove it before baking because plastic will burn in the oven!

I am going to cut this recipe in half and make it. One thing that would be helpful is more description as you cook. Talking about how you shaped the buns after they come out of the oven and what ingredients you were using along the way. I am legally blind. So the more description and words you use in your videos the better. I did go to your blog and now have the ingredient list. I’m new to all this keto stuff and a beginner at making things from scratch. So I’m a little nervous. I loved your idea about using the silicone muffin tins. I have that as well. I think that would make shaping the buns a lot easier. Thanks for a great recipe.

We use to make inside out burgers. we'd put the cheese, cooked onions, ketchup, mustard inside, then when cooked we'd just put mayo and relish on the bun and lettuce. Bacially mix the condiments in with the beef or turkey. I've also mixed beef with lamb it's delicious then you can use feta and haloumi greek type cheese otherwise we'd just use shredded cheese inside.. once the ketchup, cooked onions and mustard were mixed in we'd make thin patties and put cheese between two patties then cook them.
