@u v y not a big backstory but here is where his bug phobia might come from: if you give him a mantis and ask him to explain it he will mention that mantises sometimes kill the birds praying on them..and in new leaf some bugs he mentioned reminded him of when he was a child so maybe something traumatic happened..my theory is when he was really young his first catch was a mantis..he almost got killed..now that is his phobia.

My daughter adopted Lucky on her Happy home Designer, and she's glad she got him. She calls him "cute but poor puppy" because of his innocence. The sweet part is that she makes a lucky comfortable home.😁🤗

I always thought Walker was the reincarnated version of his dead self (Lucky) and he was renamed Walker. Which is why they both have the same personality and the same black ears and tail. Oh and yes I do believe in reincarnation.

Yeah, and because Lucky I think, is dead, and Walker’s name is well.. Walker. Makes sense because Lucky is dead (I think), and Walker is alive. That’s why Walker’s name is Walker. Because Lucky is lucky to still be alive after all the misfortunes, and Walker looks like Lucky, just without all the bandages, and different colored eye. Walker is called Walker because he’s walking around just fine, and on the other hand Lucky has a ton of bandages even though he acts like his life is perfectly normal. Why I think that lucky is acting so normal about his life, is because he fell and hit the ground at the bottom of the sea and he got brain damage, causing him to forget about all the terrible things that he’s been through. Walker and Lucky act almost identical and Lucky either doesn’t care about his bandages, or he suffered from brain damage and made him forget about all the stuff that happened. Lucky is actually one of my favorite characters on my new horizons island, and overall he seems like a nice guy.

I think he might be undead, because 1: he has a glowing eye, that is unusual 2: he is wrapped in bandages, that makes him look like a mummy and mummies are undead creatures and 3: the e reader card message makes it sound like he died.

I want their to be a special event in acnh where if you reach “best friend level” with Lucky, there would be a 10% chance he would leave the island for a day to get his bandages removed. The next, you’ll see what he actually looks like.

i absolutely love lucky. ive been playing animal crossing since city folk, i was around 7-8 when i started playing. im a year away from being an adult and the memories with this little dog have had an impact. as a child, i played animal crossing to escape the abuse within my family and lucky was like my best friend. i always thought he was so cute and i remember when he had to move out of my town, to which i stopped playing bc i was so sad. he was in my campsite on new horizons and u don't even understand the pure JOY of seeing him again. he's moved in now and im so happy to finally have my best friend back!

Maybe the reason his eyes is different from Walker’s is because the bandages make shade that makes the fur around his eyes look black but it’s really just the bandages making his face black due to shade, and the reason his eye is yellow is because it’s glowing. My headcannon is Lucky has a rare chronic illness that causes him a lot of pain, hence the bandages, but he feels lucky to be alive and is determined to experience all life has to offer, despite his affliction. I customized his house (a cute little cottage in the woods), and gave him a hospital bed, a wheelchair, an IV drip, and loooots of snacks and toys. Raddle also lives on my island (my headcannon for him is that he's actually a real, practicing doctor), and he does house calls for Lucky daily to look after him. I also imagine the pain makes stairs hard for Lucky, so I only built ramps around my island. He's the bestest boy.

My personal theory is that Lucky (along with a couple of other villagers) was late in his repayments to Tom Nook, who sent the Nooklings round to - er - "punish" him for the late payment. Poor Stitches got Skinned alive for his late payments - and the "Cow hide rug" seen occasionally in Nooks store is actually Stitche's real skin being sold to recoup the interest on the payments for Tom Nook. However, poor Ribbot got the worst of it - he was beaten so badly he had to get rebuilt in a cybernetic body as his biological one was simply too badly damaged.

One thought that makes sense to me is that lucky and walker are siblings? It makes sense because they have similar appearances and sense they were raised together they have similar interests. Plus it explains why lucky has black fur on their eye instead of white like walker and it explains why they don’t have the same name.

well ik i am late but hear me out, i had an idea about luckys bandages: he wears the bandages since the very first game and you can see him running around a lot, so i personally dont think he is still injuried. buy maybe he has scars on his body and thats why he still wear those bandages: to cover them up. he tries to act as normal as he can, so no one will be confused or asks wat happened to him, he also never said something about his accident, so obviously he doesnt want to talk about it. or maybe hes just a mummy fan, we will never know
