bro, ive been watching videos of the new ram n chevy even before they came out. so many dudes making videos of it, most of em, old dudes with "lots of experience" n i gotta say not a single video other than this one has been more accurate when filming and pinpointing every aspect of the trucks. you did it just right, detailed, but not to much, you only talked about the trucks the whole time and never got off of it giving unnecessary comments n opinions like the rest does. I could go on, but ill just say, i was finally satisfied in a single video what i wanted to see. camera angles and distant when refering to certain parts or specs are really important u did great bro. alot better than those old dude that have "lots of experience". I'm a Chevy guy, and I disagree. Ram spent too much time on their interior (which looks great), and not enough time on the exterior. That 12" screen is impressive, but it also looks like it can be a huge distraction when driving. As for the exterior, it just doesn't do it for me, it's just too square on the sides and the back. It has no interesting style or curves (looks like a woman with no boobs or ass), and the tail lights look outdated and boring. Silverado is a more balanced truck inside and out, is very curvaceous, and comes with a BEASTLY 6.2L engine, which Ram cannot touch. But to each their own. Cheers!
@travelinben19664 жыл бұрын
Eric E Gutierrez I agree with most of what you said, however, since the frame on the Silverado isn’t E-coated like it is on the Ram and F-150, I would never buy one.
@Enforcer06234 жыл бұрын
Brian Very trivial non factor for me in South TX. An after thought when considering the purchase of a new truck. Ive worked on my truck before and it’s really not that messy and the wax/grease coating doesn’t come off as easy as one thinks unless you physically scrape it off. Chevrolet still just does so many other things so much better than all of the other brands. I think they’ll eventually switch to e-coating though.

I sold my 2016 GMC truck with only 17000 miles on it after test driving a 19 Ram Limited. After 1 month in it I can say it's the best truck I've ever owned. I drove Fords as well. The interior, ride quality and tech can't be beat. The e-torque motor makes the stop/start and shifting seamless. I usually hate stop/start but you don't even notice it on this truck. Same with the lane departure. It just nudges you over if you drift. My wifes 19 Honda Pilot shakes the wheel when you drift. I hate that. Also if my wife had to drive this truck it parks itself perfectly saving my wheels from curb rashes LOL. The key fob will lower the trucks air ride for loading cargo, climbing in the bed or hooking up a trailer. The 12" uconnect is the mic drop moment against any other truck. It looks and sounds great!

@@Jaymac720 Dude your not telling me anything I don't already know. However if it was my money I'd go with the Ram. See I've had both brands I owned 3 GM and 2 Chrysler vehicles and I've had better luck with Mopar then I ever had with GM my last Mopar vehicle was a 2007 Dodge Caliber and it lasted me 258,000 miles before it was destroyed in a wreck it never leaked any oil or left me stranded. I can't say that with the GM vehicles 2 of the 3 I had broke down and left me stranded. And the 3rd and current GM vehicle has been a pain in my butt since I got the Damn thing. It has been in the shop more times then both my Chrysler vehicles put together. If it wasn't for employment and money issues I suffered that Damn car would been gone a looooooooog time ago. I'm just lucky that my job is close by to my apartment otherwise I would have been screwed. So in conclusion if given a choice between a GM vehicle or Chrysler vehicle let's see go with a Chrysler vehicle that I've had good fortune with have had a few minor problems but otherwise got me where I need to go each and every time and never left me stranded. Or stay with a brand that is left me stranded at least three to four times and has cost me a s*** ton of money to keep going to the point where I've actually had to ask my folks to help me repair my vehicle cuz I couldn't afford to I think I'll stick with the brand that is giving me the least amount of trouble and that is Mopar.

I was going to pull the trigger on a Ram Laramie 1500 late this past summer - the interior is the best of any truck - PERIOD. But then I discovered an avalanche of complaints about the 'Hemi Engine Tick', which has been ongoing and unfixed for years. I went to a dealer and experienced this engine ticking noise at startup on two, cold (as in unstarted for a few days) 2019 Rams on the dealer lot..... clatter, clatter, clatter and then it would go away in about 10 seconds...... that was enough to run away. What is happening in that 'dry' startup ? The 2019 GM trucks have the WORST seats in the truck segment. They are as hard and unforgiving as sitting on a cement block. I finally decided on a 2018 Ford F150 Lariat, with a lot of bells and whistles... and I absolutely love it!! Smooth ride, super comfortable seats, and just well thought out. Plus, no worries of it rusting out like a Chevy or Dodge. This is the first Ford I have ever owned.... and it is nothing short of amazing in my opinion. That said, if Dodge had a better reliability rep, and no engine clattering issues and manifold bolt shearing problems, I would have bought one in a heartbeat. Although, I think the front grille is a very poor design....

I went from Ram, to Chevy, and back to Ram. The Rams interior and exterior features (air ride and ram boxes) are amazing. I still love the Silvys, but the Rams are getting tougher to beat. And I know, people will say the Rams aren't as reliable. But my Ram I had before was MUCH more reliable than my newer Silverado, it wasn't even close. Which is why I got another Ram. But check both for sure.
@cardellethomas5 жыл бұрын
I've just recently purchased the 2020 1500 and the tech is so advanced and too numerous to list, far beyond what you would expect, even in a luxury truck, but I must say Kudos to Ram for pushing the bar to a level of refinement and technology that knocked the big two on their heels and now they are scrambling playing catch up. Ram took the essence of a luxury car, put it in a truck and topped it off with a 5.7l hemi V8 and put the whole truck world on its ear.

I have the 2019 Dodge Ram 4x4 Limited and absolutely love it! Let me say this. I gave every company out there that has a pick-up truck a fair shake. No fan boy for anyone. And to be honest, I hated the idea of a Chrysler/Fiat Motor co. vehicle even in the running. It was at the bottom of my list the Ram. However, that obviously all changed and in a dramatic way. I wish in the review they showed the Limited with the 22-inch Tires and Rims as the one's on this review didn't give it a fair justice with the cheap looking 20's. Not one truck out there is without it's drawbacks. For protection I purchased a lifetime Mopar warranty for peace of mind. My second choice was the High Country for the exterior design and 6.2 motor. The interior just killed it. With Ford, it's now getting a bit long in the tooth although still nice, but don't want a Turbo motor period... Nice job Ram!

Air ride is great - however , i doubt the longevity. These are expensive to fix. RAM has better engine , but Silverado's transmission is better - in terms in shift feel and reliability . RAM interior is better and more equipped with dated tech. That huge screen ia buggy and crashes a lot based on current owners . Ill take Silverado on this one - just because less headache witj regards to ownership. In paper RAM wins , but overall realibility is a downer .

Ram really went all out on the new 1500. For YEARS the ragged on the rams old styling, poor safety, and its general lack of ability to compete with its peers. Finally Ram has come into the limelight. They really did their research and found what their customer base wanted. I feel that they will be be seeing a lot more fierce competition when the 2021 F150 debuts. Due to way the truck luxury market is going, it’s not going to be about how luxurious the truck is- it’s going to be “how luxurious can it be AND still remain affordable to the masses?” The amount of money we are a country are spending on these things is going to drive prices waaaaay up. Here's the thing. I've never seen a limited without 22inch Rims so that's a weird one there. Also that's not the top powertrain model for the Ram. There's an option for the E Torque System that gives the Ram an additional 150 foot pounds of torque. So when fully equipped just like the Chevy with the OPTIONAL 6.2 V8 which is only available on the top models unlike the E Torque system on the ram which you can get on any and all models of the Ram even there V6 models the chevy is not the most powerful. When doing reviews I would strongly suggest knowing what you are reviewing to be fair on everything. I love Chevy. My grandmother retired from the Shreveport Truck and Bus group in LA but I love my Rams too and the fact that Chevy runs in my bloodline and I get the family discount I still choose Ram and have been for the last 4 trucks should say something. Oh and I use my truck for a truck too not just a gas guzzling grocery getter or to say i drive a truck. Ram Hands down.
@tjphaneuf29016 жыл бұрын
You made a lot of good remarks about the Ram without rewarding points, yet every time you had something good to say about the Chevy it received at least a half point? Let’s be a little more consistent. How can 2” more legroom in the back seat not be worthy of at least a half a point? I was a bowtie guy my whole life, but the ‘19 Ram destroys the ‘19 Silverado hands down by a landslide, especially in aesthetics. Great sound and video quality, but it speaks volumes that even with your Chevy bias, the Ram still came out on top. Should have been a much bigger gap in points, but none the less.

There were features he left out, like the fact that RAM has a locking rear diff, huge points there and the fact that you can get the RAMBOXES for additional storage. I am not sure if he awarded more points for RAMs bigger towing and payload capacity.

I've been deciding between the 2. Chevrolet is my truck from growing up, I recently purchased a Jeep Grand Cherokee Sterling Edition. I got spoiled with the modern day Technology. With that, I was leaning towards the RAM. The Chevy appearance is better on the outside, but the RAM is not hard on the eyes either. For my use and knowing of that Adaptive Cruise Control technology and the large screen, tow capacity, comfort for the family...this video sold me on the RAM. I have driven both trucks and the RAM is better to me. Thanks for making the video

Ram brand has always set the bar with it's new models. I remember a few years back when the Colorado and Canyon came out they made a commercial talking about its triple sealed doors and that was the only highlight worth mentioning in the 30 sec add. Ram been doing triple sealed doors since the 90s in their trucks. The 2.3 duramax in those gm trucks? Made by FCAs VM motri company that supplies the ecodiesel for the ram 1500. When the 3rd gen came out all Chevy and Ford guys mocking the huge "man eating grill" now today Ford and GM grills are larger then rams. From small tech to big design Qs Ram set the bar. 8 speed transmission in a pickup back in 2013 was unheard of now we have the competition making 10speeds and 8 speed was finally released for GM in 2016 but facing major issues even till today. ram has torque flight transmissions. One of the most reliable in the industry and used in many proper automobiles. I'm stating FACTS here, look it up. My family and I have owned many brands Mopar always got the job done for us. Hemi engines are Very reliable seeing 250k miles out of them is no big deal anymore. Let's not even get started with the Cummins.. industry leading reliability and performance. look up Real world testing on dyno GM and Ford dont make the power they advertise either. Fan boys are quick to call out transmission failers and front end issues this isn't the past anymore great products/quality coming from FCA. Infact, so much now GM is putting them in their ads to throw shade. Ram sales are creeping up. And to top it off Ram brand will be produced in America when factories are tooled up. Not Mexico and now coming from China soon like Ford and GM.
