As great as the shooting was, I have to admit Ian's physicality and grace as he zipped around the courses was something to behold! ALSO, the whistle is a great idea! Besides saving the RO's voice, it's much easier to hear amid the range noise.

@@ForgottenWeapons that's entirely too bad... I had this entire scene in my head with you as the replacement sommellier. "Ian." "John! It's been a long time!" "It has. I need guns, lots of guns." "What ranges?" "Some long, most mid, and a few short." "Well, for long range, I have this wonderful FR-F1. 7.5 French, so it's not quite 7.62 NATO but flies well enough. Four power scope, excellent ergonomics." "Very nice." "For Mid and Close Range, how about the FAMAS G2? Uses STANAG magazines, fires SS109 5.56. Lever delayed blowback, reciprocating charging handle." "Oh, very nice!" "And for up close and personal, M1935 pistol. Chambered in 7.65 French Longue, so it's a little thinner than a single stack 9mm. This one has had tritium night sights added."

Kinda annoyed me that he wasn't tonguing it, but I used to play a wind instrument so I'm probably a bit too particular about whistle technique than most. For those curious, blow through your lips, then use your tongue to hold that breath before you release it. That's the reason why this whistle sounds different than when a ref blows it on tv.

The suit reminds me of this guy who was well known in paintball circles in the UK +20 years back. He was just called Bart and was known for playing competitions in a suit. There was a backstory explaining how the suit came to be. One time when he was packing his bag for a competition his camos was still wet after washing. Now he had been painting the house wearing an old worn out black suit so he packed that for the competition and everyone got a blast out of this team that turned up with one player walking on the field in a black suit. That there were paint stains on it didn't much matter after a match or two...
