Lyoness is the biggest pyramid scheme of all time. The guy that went on Dragon’s Den to pitch it obviously had drank all the “Lyoness koolaid”. This had to be the worst pitch of all time in Dragon’s Den. In some ways I feel bad for the guy, ‘cuz he obviously looked so nervous & he was sweating his @$$ off in front of those lights. To top it off, it probably felt like he was being intimidated by the Dragons. The “Dragon’s Den” quickly turns into “The Lion’s Den”, as he gets torn to shreds when the Dragons discover that they were being pitched a pyramid scheme. Funny thing is that you haven’t seen another pyramid scheme again on the Dragon’s Den (UK or Canada) since this episode.

True story: In 2016, I was talking to some chic and we had planned a date, day off I was to pick her up from her job, get dinner drop her off. Pulled up to her office “Primerica”(at the time I thought they were just an insurance company didn’t think too much about it), I’m waiting outside, she comes up and she’s like there’s an even going on at her office and she wants me to attend with her then we’ll head out, (in my head I’m like wtf, but wasn’t thinking too much about it and didn’t want to be rude) we go in and I’m like dressed out of place. There’s like at least 100 people in a hall and then some random Indian guy starts a presentation about primerica and how you can be an entrepreneur blah blah blah. Started shh talking about other jobs(I’m an engineer, at the time been doing it for about 3yrs also while this was happening my attention span was at like 20% was hearing stuff but was just being ignorant cause I was hungry). Then they start talking about taxes(I file my taxes and taxes for friends and families so they don’t get scammed by people putting false info) he said something off putting so I started paying attention and realized that they were just bullshitting and trying to give people false hop. So I got up and started walking out then he singled me out. I didn’t know what a pyramid scheme was but I knew how to spot false information. He was like look at me I’m wearing a gucci suit and some Prada shoes you’re wearing probable cheap jeans and Jordan’s. You can join primerica and afford luxury clothing blah blah blah. I responded by just walking off(the hunger was killing me. lol). A few days later, I was on my way back home from the gym when I stopped at a gas station to get something to drink and there he was in a fxx old a$$ Honda Odessy. Me being petty pulled up to the other side of the pump and filled up my car(I drove a C300 and wanted to shit on him). I stood there and made sure he noticed. He didn’t say one word

You guys bring up a crucial point in recruiting tactics. That line of trust part roped me in a now defunct pair of MLMs that worked together. My upline was already self employed with a traditional business, and was well respected in her community and church. She explained her credibility to me and how she was able to leverage that credibility to get successful recruits. I realise I subconsciously had respect for her simply because she was higher on the social ladder than I was. Seriously, Marco, a video of slimey recruitment tactics wojj be really great. I think they even teach us newbies on how to “overcome objections” as they called it. And believe me, there’s an objection for everything. Even in another MLM, I thought I was being absolutely brilliant by bringing up the MLM model and asking about taxes. And the lady that talked to me seemed friendly, professional, and knowledgeable that I fell for her tactics as well. I’m not in any MLMs now, as I keep on top of this subject

Its crazy .The founder of this company made maybe 600 million. The founders name is Hubert Freidl

I worked in sales with a fortune 500 company for 11 year's making really good money. During my 11th year we got a new regional v.p. and he pitched this same mlm " opportunity ". Same thing, I had the " opportunity " to be on the ground floor and for 14K I would be in the position to be earning 100K in 14-16 months and that would grow year after year without putting in any more money. Like a dummy I was ready and willing to do it but someone in the company ratted out the guy to our vp of sales and he was gone the same day. I only knew of one guy who actually joined and paid the 14K and he hadn't made a dime 5 year's later. I have no idea how many the bastard got but I would have been one of them. I just got lucky.

Love this. Just wanna piggy back on the topic of what should change in the industry Is make the exams closed book. When I went for my licensing through the Alberta Insurance Council to sell insurance it’s multiple choice and open book. You don’t even have to know the material to even pass. It’s a joke.

Omg, I was just watching your agn video for giggles and fun, and then this video popped up. I remembered that I actually got approached by a lyoness person 8-9 years ago. He was friend of a friend and invited me to get a coffee, spent 30 minutes pitching me the most confused idea of cashback, and then, when I was confused as fuck, he said the entry-level investment was 2500 euros and I was like "wtf". I am from a wealthy family, and that probably why he asked that much, but man, that was really a bad call. I just said "no" and we parted ways. At least I got a free coffee.
