Kerala the land of seafood. Miss the fresh food we prepared everyday. Now people don't have time to prepare a fresh meal each day. Busy with no time to enjoy the basic of life's necessities _ cooking and dining together. I remember as a child not being permitted to enter a kitchen or for that matter even help with laying the table but I sometimes crept into the firewood kitchen and watched my grandma and maid turn out the most nutritious, delicious food and then serve it at sharp twelve noon for my grandpa. I did not learn to cook until twenty four and if anyone does compliment me about these old traditional meals I think back that I must have actually been absorbing the systematic way of cooking meals. And considering that our maids had to go to the road to get water. Now we have taps and stove top taps but you see clumsy and unhygienic way of cooking and fridge food is the norm. Thank you for this recipe. Precise and to the point, exactly the way my grandma used to prepare it. Nostalgic.
