Thanks for the answer, I watched this material a few minutes after writing this comment. However, the crux of the question remains the same. In your opinion, is the M1 Pro processor sufficient for occasional video editing and work with 50-200 Mb photo files? Considering the fact that I do not buy such a computer for 6 months, however, should I invest a bit more funds (the price is not the main criterion for me, more shortening the battery life in the case of the M1 MAX because, as I said, it is a mobile tool for me) best

My current computer meets my needs just fine, but the main thread I’m seeing through all these first impressions is the sheer composure with which the M1 Max and Pro machines operate. I'm just a regular computer user who takes pictures and videos when hiking, or doing other things. I watch a lot of KZbin Videos and browse the web with Google Chrome. I was looking at the iMac M1 with 16GB of memory and 512GB storage and I think that is all I need! It was much less in price than the MacBook Pro and has a 23.5" screen! The camera is 1080 and I don't take my laptop anywhere now since I'm retired. I do love the technology of the new MacBook Pro with the SD card reader. I do use my card reader a lot on my 17" HP laptop that is from 2013. When my laptop finally dies, the case is falling apart since it's plastic, I'll probably upgrade. I'm currently a Windows 10 Pro user with the Intel I7 but I'm really impressed with Apple Silicon!

One suggestion regarding the MagSafe plug: please do NOT pull it out by the cord! The plug body is wide and long, giving you a good grip, but it's STILL hard to pull out, yeah that magnet is strong. Instead, either push down, or pull up, on the large flat side of the plug, and the leverage at the interface lets it pop right out, easily.
