its been a long time since Gaijin made the m18 Hellcat a light vehicle, but they never moved it in the tech tree. it still sits in the Tank destroyer line, even tho there is no reason for it not to be moved over to the light tank line. same with Chinese m18.

Happened to me as well, I was putting shells into tanks that would of been one hit kills with the M62 APCBC shell all evening only afterwards did I notice that gaijin swapped it with useless M79.

Unlocked the m18 3 days ago and at first I was frustrated for not being able to pen anything German frontally then I came to the realisation "Hey this tank is probably the fastest at its BR, I can cross enemy lines right at the start and sideshoot them hard. Worst case scenario I come face to face with a pack puma, EBR or m18 but odds are way better than front facing a Tiger or Panther." And that was the game changer for me. Got 2 out of my 4 nukes in this game with this bad boy alone (rest 2 were on a bmp 3 and obj 906). It's insane how quickly you can rack up sideshot kills on tigers and panthers gathered around in one place and oblivious to everything.

ah yes the pride of 5.7... at least it used to be (RIP US battle ratings) a mediocre gun and paper armor on a tank that can be over pressured by anything greater than SPAA, but you know it moves kinda fast and has decent turret traverse so that somehow makes it worth 6.0 BR

I'm still having a ball with it at 6.0 even in full uptiers, yeah you do run into a bit more of those rat tanks that can match your flank speed.

@unrealbot3027 all the 7.0 rat tanks and vehicles you just outright can't pen unless you are very close and perfectly perpendicular to their side. Some maps just don't allow for those kind of flanks and the fact that 1/10 matches you can flank a tiger 2 and kill it doesn't excuse bumping up the BR.

@@dominuslogik484 Eh I don't know about that. I'm flanking in almost every map except the second battle of Al-alamein open desert one and catching hordes of oblivious German heavies off guard. Well every now and then I do fumble while reaching my early game position (bumping into fences and obstacles) and get obliterated when front facing a heavy but that's still rare

Hi Odd, love the content! Please consider playing the Charioteer Mk. VII. The 20 pdr at 6.3 is excellent, It has Solid shot APCBC with penetration on par with the Long 88 and APDS with 285mm pen at point blank. The mobility forwards is solid however, being based on the Cromwell chassis, it's horrible in reverse.

I suggest you take the Lorraine 40t out for a few games. The thing has almost nothing going for it at its BR apart from its autoloader which it needs since you're most likely spending two or more rounds to take out any vehicle you meet. Its mobility used to be good at its BR, but now there's so many other light vehicles that are more mobile and can do what it does better.
