It's worth sending the old accumulator away to have it looked at. This is basically a Citroen system and recharging spheres is pretty common in that scene as long as the membrane hasn't been damaged. A Citroen specialist would probably be the best people to speak to.

If you look inside the original BMW tool kit in the boot or 'trunk' you will find a metal piece with a plastic handle which is used to slot into the hub wheel bolts so it acts as a dowel so to speak, this will then assist you with when you put the wheel back so that the wheel bolt holes align with the holes on the hub👍

I have an advice for you for the future. Epoxy based paints are great for protecting stuff from coroding, but they also accelerate corrosion more than salt if they are overheated (over 200 degrees of Celcius). Because of that its pretty bad idea to use it on stuff that gets hot (like brake parts, colling of the engine and others). If I were you I would just use high temperature paint instead of epoxy. It should last quite a bit if applied as you did. Other than that everything looks good, cheers!

You have no idea how helpful it was to see you rebuild the calipers from start to finish. I tried a similar project last summer and realized that not removing the calipers was a big mistake. Seeing your step by step process and how simple it was to replace the pistons, I wouldn't do it any other way in the future. The only thing that I would do differently is find a bench vise to hold the hardware while using a wire wheel so I could use both of my hands to control the electric tools. Also, your two stage epoxy application looked nearly flawless - way more successful than anything I achieved with caliper paint and a cheap brush. Excellent work as always, I feel like I learn so many practical tips and tricks from your videos that help me grow in this hobby.

You can easily check that and disconnect the control unit and stick the both connectors into each other. After a start you should have a full powered steering suppot again! Its an common issue! on the topic of grease and rubber bushings on the brakes. The ATE instruction actually says to use grease to mount the rubber bushings on the OUTSIDE of the rubber bushings. The BMW repair manual is right here and its not contradicting to the ATE instruction. You already mentioned the reason not to use grease on the bolts, it collects dirt. The rubber bishings from ATE are made of a special rubber mixture including graphene as a dry lube. Other manufacturers (like autofren) dont have this rubber mixture with graphene, that's why I only use ATE or BMW bushings. Hope that helps.

Beyond this, a new light switch and a new windscreen washer pump, both for some DM 40.- each. And that´s it! It was a wondeful car. Fuel consumption of 16L/100km wa absolutely adequate.

I believe that the purpose of the brake pressure accumulator, is that you still have full braking power in the event that the engine dies/cuts out. On normal brakes that use vaccum, the power is gone once the engine is off. Certain Audis had them in the 90s, and the part was known as 'the brake bomb'

Hi Sreten, the old lower holder of the pressure accumulator you can glue to it without any issues with "MS-Polymer Montagekleber" or "MS-Polymer Kleb- und Dichtmasse" or "Karrosserie-Montagekleber" (it's this type of polyurethan-like glue in that 400ml Kartusche). That is absolutely sufficient and will hold longer than the rest of the car! Thank you always for your very interesting videos and wish you a happy new year 2024!
