Awesome video 330!! It’s definitely nice to see you still out catching the beavers for such!!! I can honestly say that my favorite animal to trap is beavers and seeing what is the biggest beaver that I and my buddies can catch!!! Lol!!

Thanks for posting! I really enjoy watching. Yesterday evening, i was setting some traps in a small stream that sits in between a lake and river. It was dark, and i had my headlamp on the lowest setting because im right by the road. It's better to not be noticed when your setting a $350 trap (thanks Wa.). Anyways im working away not really thinking about much, theres a few thin clouds out and a almost full moon. A beaver was enjoying a nice little moonlight swim down said creek. He didn't see me and i didn't see him till he bumped into the back of my leg that was followed immediately by the loudest tail smack he could muster. I launched out of that creek like man about to be eaten by the unknown. The beaver sounded like an outboard cavitating as he made his getaway. That was a first for me. Not soon to be forgotten.

like the looks of the new duke 330's . glad to see the safety was changed on them .
@artfranz2273Күн бұрын
Yup looks like the same safety that’s on the Belisle’s. The beauty of this safety is you don’t have to wire them back, they grip tight enuf on the spring arm so they don’t rotate/move.

Could hear the goldeneyes flying over when you heard the beaver chewing. My favorite ducks.

The new duke looks identical to the belsile, I found the belisile took off a lot of fur. Almost too powerful. My favorite 330 is the LDL brand, great traps.

Great video again sir! Sure looks like a Belisle 330, that Duke as safeties/dog the same.
@330Maniac2 күн бұрын
It's just like a Belisle 330, but like I said on the video trap supply companies are free to make a version to sell
@loneranger82932 күн бұрын
@@330Maniac interesting , Duke smart to follow Belisle as my favorite for beaver with Bridger a darn close second. Good luck. Pulled up my beaver traps awhile back as ice up here in Manitoba finally. Onto fisher, marten, and yotes and perhaps the odd wolf.

Then it sounds like you are infested. Once they arrive, it seems like it is a never ending task to reduce their numbers.

Great video man! Just curious how long will you leave your traps out on a location/or when you’re not pulling anything out? Thank you sir!

So on the narrow channel set how would you recommend setting if they need to be fully submerged? Just barely underwater with a dive stick across the top? At the bottom of the run with a dive stick above it? I'm required to be fully submerged.
@330Maniac2 күн бұрын
Yes, I've done it like that before in situations

I’d have a lot more respect for Duke if they just admitted their strategy was copying other’s designs. Granted it’s brilliant and profitable because they minimize their R&D budget…
