Wheel routes and streaks will be damn near impossible defend even more with this back shoulder feature . Its a welcome addition but I can see it being way too OP since we can see in this video that CB's still have no clue what's going on 🤣

3:18 2 defenders let Hopkins run right by both of them to the back of the end zone. Those two field awareness must be zero. Idk if this is built in, but that target ring should be based on the wr catch radius/skill and precision of the qb. What would be cool is, if your playing franchise, the better the qb and wr become “connected” the better the chance of catching those back should fades and such. Also Madden should put in the player attributes these types of catches and throws, because some QBs and wr are better at back should, over the shoulder catching, sideline, etc.

I know it's never talked bout but I'm glad to see they got the sleeves for each player right...like Stafford has the short sleeves but there not crazy tight like they always make em...just a little more personal detail I love seeing in game

@@ThatYankeeFann this is gonna be my first time on a next gen consol and coming from xbox one every player had the generic "tight sleeves" I've always wanted a Matt Ryan or Stafford short sleeve that is open without having a tom brady sleeve to get that open authentic look if that makes sence

No it's cool bro I've been playing the beta for days on end everything is organic if you keep spamming the x button to break tackles and a whole bunch of people on you just like real life they're going to strip the ball. You just got to choose your battles but yeah man this is a good game you're going to love it

This should make the game more competitive, giving us control. It looks like it will be fun challenge to master the passing this year. Kinda like it is with 2K and shooting. You just have to practice different plays to figure it all out #madden23

One thing I saw, that pass to Kelce at 7:34 went nowhere near the target reticle. Mahomes wasn't even under any pressure (even said perfect accuracy at the bottom) and you can see Kelce have to adjust his route inside. Still animation driven? Or just a coincidence...

Honestly this info Eric was so helpful. Focusing on the positives and the negatives. I feel that this new passing system is going to be the challenge we need. It’s a step in the right direction. I’m excited to try it out soon. Also loving the player models are slimmer down to be more realistic. Now we wait to see what franchise mode is going to bring.

There is ZERO qb mobility it’s very unrealistic, now I’m dealing with Linebacker looping blitz that can’t be blocked and Mid blitz like Cmon bro the only way you can leave the pocket now is if someone sends 3 and That’s only if they don’t use the Big Dime Glitch where you User the safety and it lets a free edge rusher come in clean….I’ve played over 25 games of the beta and it’s the honest truth these pros just want to use glitch defenses and the only thing that was combative enough against those defenses was a slight move around the pocket I can’t believe people are saying the beta is fun, If playing like Peyton Manning is your thing then I understand but I’m a newer generation we like A little bit of mobility

I don't understand why have a setting for Match coverages vs the plays. Does it save memory? Will there be more plays? Do I have to turn this on for all Zone blitzes? Will cov 4 drop, palms and quarters play the same or are they exceptions to this?

They changed it because it was confusing to the average person, they assumed all of the Cover 4 plays played the same. So when you turn on match in your coach adjustments, you still need to call the correct matching plays in your playbook for match to work (Quarters, Palms, Cov 3 Match, etc.). If you don't turn match on in the coaching adjustments, those plays will just play like regular spot drop Cover 4 and Cover 3.

I've been waiting for something like this from madden since 2k5, That pass to Adams in the back of the endzone was a thing of beauty. People will sleep on this as it might take hours of practice to get good at it, but to be able to place the ball exactly where you want it is amazing for gameplay

How is this going to work on a mobile QB when you're running and getting out the pocket it looks like it only works when you're standing still say you're running out left but you have to hit the icon move the stick and pinpoint it before throwing that's taking too long...feel like it's going to be a lot of sacks

I like that you cut the clip before seeing Kelce teleport thru the DB who is stuck in quicksand cause of an animation glitch (same as every year) on that spinning catch animation that makes no sense given the circumstances leading to the catch

Yoo Eric I haven’t played beta yet but from what I see with physics based tackling, it’s only two man animations. Is every player able to get a hit on the ball carrier, like BackBreaker or Madden 18??

wellllll i love that they are fixing zone defense hopefully its not just for certain defensive calls, or routes, and then they look crappy on others, i mean i get it in real life defenders mess up to, one other area, qb coach mode taking to many sacks just standing there.. i wish they would make the QBs run again, or roll out when pressure up the middle, and maybe throw it away more, i know on watch mode broadcast sim the qbs will run or roll out, but not in coach mode
