I remember when Brittany Spears was popular and people were saying she was the next Madonna. I thought compared to Live To Tell, Crazy For You, Oh Father, & Take A Bow, Brittany would never come close. Madonna was pop, but she had some very emotional songs.
@en6278
@en6278 Жыл бұрын
@@JB-pl1iu she is a great pop singer. Im always struck by all the different tones & textures she has even just in her ballads. Like in Spanish eyes her voice gets really gritty & raw in the chorus. It always hits me. Theres different categories of singers. The big power vocalists like Celine. then the more personality pop vocalists like Madonna. She is a chameleon who can lend her voice to so many different kinds of production. Celine cannot do that.

They sure dont make music like this anymore, it's so emotive and such a stunning piece. Madonna was such a babe back then.

There is a reason she was such a superstar! Never fails to give me chills, and I was coming up in the '80s! So I've heard this song a lot. Great reaction, friend. She wrote the song and composed the music with her producer Patrick Leonard who helped with some of her best music.

One of my favorite of her songs. My true favorite is a B side from this era, ‘Spanish Eyes’.

Wow I forgot how young Sean Penn was in that movie. And Christopher Walken! I think the song was written for the movie and had more to do with the storyline of it than anything else.

80's Madonna was great...but 90's Madonna was perfection. Check out the songs and videos to "Oh Father" and "Bad Girl".. You won't be disappointed...

Her mom died when she was a child. That is a big trauma. She hasn't had an easy life. though it might seem that way. I think it was Dennis Rodman who once said "It's not easy being Madonna". They had a relationship for a bit. But she is a hard worker, an amazign business woman, and very creative, she is kind of like a chameleon, she changes colors, she sheds her skin every few years. This is one of her best songs because it showcases her lovely voice and has a palpable nostalgia about it.

"Justify My Love" or "Erotica" will REALLY surprise you. 🔥 When she played Evita Peron in the '96 movie "Evita" check out her cover of "Don't Cry For Me Argentina". These two songs are opposite ends of the Madonna spectrum.

Madonna is The BIG MADONNA. She is so multifaceted. She's iconic. She is going to keep the Queen of Pop, even in her sixties,

I was 13 years old when they bought me the album True Blue, from Madonna. I remember the school trip listening to the musicassette on the bus. I learnt all the lyrics by heart and was in love with her.
