I think the real difference here is not so much the graphics, but the credits. Mafia remake focuses on the actors, while OG Mafia focuses on the developers. Goes to show how videogame industry mentality changes when it comes to PR and presentation.

@@tauseefasad You got a bit lucky. I was too annoyed and played some parts on Hard, some parts on Classic. So what did i did? I played the game from Easy mode to Classic. Played every difficulty to get ready for Classic mode. A few months ago i gave up on Hard difficulty because of the Race mission. Then i came back now and i played on Hard and Classic mode. Done them both. Did the race in 5 or more attempts for both difficulties. There ain't that much difference between Hard and Classic for the race but for the driving normally around the city fast. That's a bit Different, also you can't see on the map the shortcuts to escape the cops easily so you have to find em yourself. And also of course, how much damage you take, the amount of Health you get from a Medkit and all that shit. I feel like Hard Difficulty is my favourite for Playing normally. Some people might disagree but that's just how i feel.

0:15 It is not to be annoying ... but note the difference in the horizon line of the remake with respect to the original ... in the original, the lighthouse has greater prominence, instead in the original the introduction of that massive copy of the woolworth building It breaks a lot with the image, it takes away the harmonious ... the lighthouse next to that mass in the background is as if it were telling me "what the hell am I doing here, if that bright dick illuminates the night ten thousand times more than I do? I think the ships will have not trouble to arriving at the port if I go on vacation!" Hopefully, taking advantage of the fact that it is a story that spans ten years, they would pretend that this gigantic mass goes through different stages of construction ... but we must bear in mind that the beginning of the game is precisely when Tommy tells his story to the detective. Therefore ... I would recommend at least removing that building or "moving" it several blocks north of central island. Yes, I mean ... THE BUILDING SHOULD NOT SEENS SO MUCH IN THIS SCENE, I think.

@@dailydoseofsunshine2319 How many floors does this specimen have? I'm not saying the height is wrong. I mean the dome of the skyscraper, it seems too big compared to the original skyscraper. I suppose if they did a redesign of the dome, introducing the Mather Tower, for example, I think it would be solved. I am aware that there were buildings this tall back then, but I also know that the Woolworth was smaller than this copy. I said that the building should be maintained, with the height it presents here ... but it is the design that they have given it, especially in the dome, that does not convince me. Also, regarding this part of the initial cinematics, I would recommend that building be moved to the north of Central Island, that it does not appear in that scene, to give the lighthouse shot a look closer to the original Mafia, and more harmonious... that the lighthouse really has a function and is relevant in that great introduction. It's a minor to major of the calm of the ocean to the tumult of the city ... here I really think all the meat is thrown on the spit, rather than giving it a cinematic progression. Everything in its moment, with order ... is more pleasant to the eyes.

Honestly there are parts from 2002 Mafia 1 I like better than Mafia:Definitive Edition and vice versa such as I prefer Tommy's final/dying monologue in the original version over the remake and I like Definitive Edition Sarah over the original as She has much more spunk/personality this time around also Don Salieri/Don Morello are much more imposing/fleshed out in Definitive Edition
