Shannon Sharpe and Magic Johnson detail the greatness of Golden State Warriors PG Stephen Curry. When describing Curry’s game, Magic said: “Steph Curry isn’t soft, he’s a killer. What he did in the 2022 NBA Finals was special and that put him in the Mt. Rushmore of players to play in this league.”

There was a play that Chris Broussard analysed some years back. Cavs vs Warriors with KD. Theres a turnover and fast break with KD, JR Smith is the last man back, Steph is up with KD, Steph stops at the three and KD is charging, JR goes to shut down Steph at the 3 point line and leaves KD free all the way to the bucket. The three is normally the worst or riskiest shot you can take on a fast break with a guy closing you out...But JR knew that Steph makes that quite laughable in his universe...

I got iverson slightly above wade but im on an island with that take. A.i carried Philly to the title and showed out game 1 vs lakers, he carried that team wayyy past what they should’ve been. I don’t see wade doing that on that sixers squad. For me, on all time shooting guards, give me 1 Jordan 2Kobe and Allen iverson was the 3rd best shooting guard in nba history. If a.i had a real team I swear people would be talking about him the way he deserves. Greatest crossover ever, toughness hustle on the court and he had that killer mentality that only Jordan and Kobe had as shooting guards iverson was right up there. I think it’s more because CP3 is built like a wide receiver. Steph has put on muscle as he’s gotten older, but he doesn’t look like a wide receiver.

i think people who grew up in the 90s and especially subsequent decades aren't used to the absolute best players being good people. we don't even like them because we want them to be "defiant" in some way, even if it's not something principled like Mohammad Ali's refusal to serve in Vietnam

100% his skin color is irrelevant. Curry is a killer despite being mixed. I swear the nba old heads hate Steph because he broke the mold as to what an all time legend is supposed to look like and how he should play. They don’t like a guard that broke the game and changed the game the way he wanted to. Steph is top 10 solely based on changing the game of basketball for better or worse, he’s still that guy

Steph would destroy other eras they don’t want to admit though. There were like 2 or 3 elite perimeter defenders in the 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s. Gary Peyton, Scott Pippen, Joe Dumars to name the big names. But we watch Steph torch defenders on a daily. In those eras paint Defense was priority you never seen anybody get picked up full court. Steph would eat

we truly haven't seen a SMALL guard lead a championship franchise since Isiah ...... that is the WHOLE list. and Golden State gave him the keys to the franchise YEARS before the 2015 🏆 ...... ON TOP OF the fact that Steph GREW UP around the league .... and is really the BEST face of the league the NBA could have ever hoped for. and Kobe said BEFORE that 2015 🏆 that he had that killa in him. either you have IT, or you don't. and the current list of those that have IT is WAY SHORT.

Magic Johnson is the greatest PG of all time! Steph's playing style leans towards that of a shooting guard. He doesn't boast the highest shooting percentage, the most assists, the most wins, defensive prowess, the most championships, the most MVP awards, dunks, steals, blocks, or even control of the offense, as evidenced by his time of possession. What often goes unnoticed is the incredible influence of Steph's fanbase in today's era, rivaling even the historic following of Michael Jordan. It's akin to Drake's devoted fans who refuse to accept any losses in his rap beefs with Common and Pusha T. Some may argue that it's a form of collective delusion. The sole notable achievement Steph has secured (late in his career, given his aging status) is the record for the most three-pointers made. Comparatively, Steph can be likened to Reggie Miller but with superior ball-handling skills, and even Reggie Miller had to contend with guarding Michael Jordan. The question arises: who has Steph truly shut down in terms of defensive matchups? Moreover, the ongoing discourse about Steph being the greatest point guard contrasts with the undeniable fact that Russell Westbrook could be seen as the LeBron James of point guards, despite not having an NBA championship ring to his name.
