Unless there’s another reckon to it that I’m not aware of. She’s a mutant that has access to a special dimension (limbo, iirc she’s its longest reigning queen or sth like that) of which she can channel powers from. That dimension aligns with the traditionally commercial concept of “hell”. Marvel has different versions of “hell” and they manifest as different things that are perceived as one same hell by the unknown (ie. homo sapiens in x-men). That’s basically the multiverse in the comicverse in a nutshell.

I kinda dug what they did with the movie version. Making it so Limbo and everything in it is just a construct of her imagination. Honestly they could easily retcon that into the comics. Belasco and the appearance of Limbo could've just been a manifestation of her fears, reflecting her fear of her mutation.

In the comics she's a mutant AND a demon sorceress. The movie fudged it and implied limbo was the creation of her mutant power. If she's brought into the MCU, they should make it clear she's a mutant AND a sorceress.

A VARIANT OF (MAGIK) I IMAGINE COULD EXIST IN MULTIVERSE: I imagine in a different realm, there is a variant of MAGIK, who is half angel, and half mutant. I imagine her biological father is a mutant, and her biological mother is a soldier angel. I imagine a scenario, in which when Magik’s father was age:18, he meet a beautiful lady during his summer vacation, and he didn’t see her again until four days after he graduated from college. It was during that time, they were able to spend more time together, I imagine she didn’t reveal her secret about herself, until after they got married. I imagine later the female angel, the young man’s wife, gave birth to a baby girl, but sadly she had to leave both him, and their daughter three days after their daughter turned age:2. The reason why is because, a holy emergency had developed, so she is obligated to return to heaven, if any serious threats ever happens. In addition I imagine she mentioned, to him she might not return to him, until after either eight years, or it might be longer before she can return. I also imagine that Magik’s father, was killed by someone, when she was age:10, I imagine she doesn’t remember her birth mother, and it’s because she left three days after she had turned 2years old. Now I imagine MAGIK, had two different types of magical powers, that she had along with her mutant abilities. One of Magik’s magical powers are very rare, this one she genetically inherited, from her great grandfather who was a sorcerer. It involves being able to communicate with most magical beings, that includes dragons, and the other is to be able to create a new type of wildlife when trying to save its life. The second magical power, she inherited by her birth mother, and so they are angelic magic powers. Now Magik’s 2 mutant abilities, first is that she has a, powerful strong immune-system, that can fight against any type of infections, diseases, viruses, and poisons. The second mutant ability, is that she has three different types, of adaptive visual eye sights, one is night-vision, 2nd. HeatVision, and 3rd. X-Ray vision.

It depends. In Limbo - Magik better. Current Magik that perfected her mutant powers and also become one of the top Earth mages (threw Dr Strange teaching included) - she is pretty strong. Probably in top 5 of Krakoa mutants
