As an additional comment it is interesting to note that the CIA had sought a report on which countries may be subject to civil war, to be put on their watch list. The report was completed with the assistance of a professor in political sciences at the UCLA, San Diego. By the use of United States metrics, when the study was recently completed, the number 1 country likely to break into a civil war, within the next two years is, and you probably guessed it, the United States of America. They assessed that it is definitely not a democracy and borders on autocracy. Interestingly they just held a virtual summit on democracy. Now that is ironic! The CIA has the US listed as almost very high risk of civil war. Perhaps these journalists' time might well be better spent narrating to avert such an event, and perhaps going through their own metrics as to how they got to be in such a situation. This could become a major talking point across all US media.

While I agree that there are indeed numerous malicious actors at work here, there are some journalists that are just misguided and had genuinely thought they were doing the right thing, until Daniel's words and patience eventually woke them up and won them over. I remember when I was around 9 when refugees from Iran and Irak started coming to Sweden, and I was lucky 2 years before the frist gulf War started and many of the kids that came here became my dear friends for a few years, but their parents had suffered so much and did their best to fit in, but their education was approved here, they became carpet salesmen, mechanics and some doctors and their kids my friends grew up with war as background, and most people today knwod nothing about war, maybe a cia sponsored movie to glorify it, while painting an incomplete picture of why so many hate USA, just ignoring the beginning while cherry picking the angle they want, just like media today is doing just following along the mainstream narratives, but this time it's Nato vs China and Russia and they have more capacity and can land bombs on American soil, everyone should be afraid of this tit for tat and we desperately need grown up politicians that can think how to avoid this not just how the Empire can win. I'm happy I learnt about the concequences of war from the friends I got but I'm terrified that Twitter journalists and politicians will make this to ww3.
