Star Citizen is an open development, crowd funded project from Cloud Imperium. Consisting of 2 games, Squadron 42 a single player, story driven campaign putting you in the middle of the Vanduul attacks as an up and coming UEE Navy pilot, and Star Citizen, a highly detailed
first person MMO set within a persistent universe where there are no limits. This includes, space, and ground aspects, massive spaceships with full interiors and interactions, a full dynamic economy which reacts to the players actions allowing for anything you can imagine.
It is all being built on the StarEngine (a modified version of Amazon's Lumberyard Engine).
Please bare in mind that this is heavily WIP and in an alpha state in which much of the foundational tech to make it a reality is still being developed. Both games do not have set release dates yet but you can play the alpha build for the PU MMO which makes consistent progress
with quarterly patch releases throughout the year.

When this release, it may be the only game you play if CIG plays their cards right, where they continously add and update Starcitizen for decades to come. This is the way to do it, not spit out garbage like COD and other bs games, but to have a seamless universe to do whatever you want. Insane, really.

Chair looks good. Everyone should be aware doing a desk job and/or gaming the biggest cause of back pain if posture is fine is intestinal and bowel backup. Without walking around, the intestines get backed up and put direct pressure on nerves in the back and cause trappings and “slipped disc” as they say. Keep yourself very regular going to the toilet and you’ll never get back pain and of course get up and do walking a few minutes per-hour. Very very important or you’ll end up at a doctors where they never tell you this, they only want to slice you up for no reason.

That requires volumetric colliders which is pretty expensive.

They've already got a really nice alpha implementation for the future re: fire, smoke, air comp physics inside closed environments. Not sure what the plan is for outdoor stuff, but the videos I've seen about fire and air are promising.

@@GenuineNPC that's true, then they may be closer to a solution for outside smoke collisions then we think, or have a thought on what to do later. No games have solved this yet, or I've seen the smoke grenade in CSGO 2 which do show smoke collisions with the environment and players and ballistics, but that's on a flat static playing field, where Starcitizen is a true 4D space in motion :) so sure it will be a lot harder to accomplish.

I am so glad to see so much progress. I have had many issues with the new missions in the EPTU, but I was able to complete 1 mission in the latest patch (4/25) so there is hope. Distributions scenters are big for sure. Has anyone found a way to get to the lobby form the ground floors or do you have to land on the tiny landing pads?

It will be interesting to see how the room atmospheres plays with fire when it is implemented. I am curious if with personal hangers if doing salvaging with a vulture if you will be able to condense the large numbers of 1 SCU boxes into larger boxes for easier loading onto a hauler.

As an ergonomist I would not recommend Flexispot as a fully ergonomic chair. If you want a fully ergonomic chair go with a Herman Miller Aeron, Neutral Posture 8500, ErgoCentric tCentric Hybrid or airCentric, Steelcase Leap or something from RFM, Sitmatic Haworth etc

Hey, I love this game, I have maybe 1000hrs in it over 5 - 6 years, HOTAS, Trackir and the PC to run it, But.... For the past 2 years this game has been a POS, I see videos all over off how amazing the game "Will Be" and how awesome this new ship is but in reality server degradation ruins any sort of playable experience, I mean I reinstall with every update, I even set my alarm to get in and actually play at 5am, because server problems start at around 8am, starts to get busy I think, then uninstall because of the dumbest, silliest things that just happen constantly, cant pick anything up, tool stuck in hand, cant take helmet off to eat, drink, cant get ship from terminal, cant see my inventory, ship explodes for no reason, cant scan asteroids, ship weapons wont work, doors don't open, trains don't come, the list goes on and on.... Well what I'm asking is, is it playable yet? because I would gladly roll back to 5 years ago with 0 content just so I could actually play.

He is right. They are VKB's. By the higher end ones if you're looking at them. I know many who have been using VKB's for a few years now, and have zero regret for buying them. They will also sell and ship parts so you can fix them. They are the minimum recommended sticks among the community. You next option is Virpil. Though much more expensive, are worth the price as well.

My question about hangers is, if I am in my hangar that the system gave me from calling a Pisces and then I pull my Carrack what happens to the size of the hangar. Does it suddenly grow bigger to fit it, or what?

@@antisaint8170 What's your opinion of the gimbals on the VKB stick? I'm using Virpil and don't like the ergonomics of the grip, but I absolutely love the gimbal, so I only want to try for better ergonomics if I don't sacrifice a great gimbal along the way

Overall it's nice. I'd definitely say that the gimbal on the virpil is definitely better than vkb. Vkb is done through springs to stiffen or loosen the feel of them.

a much more important issue is, how hard it is to learn the game when younstart and how little there actually is to do. the whole immersive world thing is great, but performance, allthough better is still pretty bad, enemy ai is trash, and making money is still a rather weird thing.
