Bailey I very rarely comment but, I have to say one of my favorite things about your channel is that you ALWAYS upload with accurate closed captions/subtitles. It may seem like a small thing but so many channels don’t do this, and just use the auto CC which is often inaccurate. I’m so glad it allows more people to enjoy your content so THANK YOU!! 🖤🖤

Being touched is part of human's basic needs. I remember my psychology teacher told us that there's a higher risk of SIDS in babies that don't get touched much. Not to mention that an infant/child's relationship with the mother( or primary caregiver) growing up really determines how a child would form his/her relationship with others and the world.
@dawn_68Ай бұрын
That’s really interesting. I’ve never heard that about SIDS. I have a 9 month old and when we came home from the hospital I couldn’t sleep because of it and get panic attacks at night wondering if he would be okay while I slept.

Your reason for doing true crime is EXACTLY why I watch. My mom (who was the meanest, most narcissistic person in my life from my birth to her death in 22) once asked my why I would watch things that are so horrible. I said because I like to look into the minds of narcissists without ever having to get close to one so at least they can't hurt me. Flew right over her head. Never even suspected that I was referencing her in my comment. I truly think she would have un-alived me if not for my dad. They were a married couple until his death 6 months before hers. He also died in 22 and was somewhat a narcissist but not nearly as bad as he was. One day I plan on writing about it. Keep up the amazing work that you do. You are beautiful, you are strong, and you matter!!!!

Sending you love and positive energy. I can’t imagine having a parent like that. You are an incredibly strong person and as the other commenter said, I would read whatever you write. P.S. Holly from across the pond here! If anyone is interested in this case ITV made a dramatisation of it called 'Des' with David Tennant as the titular role! A lot of Brits thought it was really creepy how much he looked the part and acted the part too! I'm sure it's on ITVx

Bailey you gotta watch the drama of this called "Des" which you got the picture of the detective from, it's gripping!! I wonder if any of his colleagues could smell him at work? I struggle to believe he didn't smell

As a Brit, it's interesting seeing the reactions of others to UK true crime stories. In 2020, there was a fantastic mini series on this story, starring David Tennant as Dennis Nilsen. It was called 'Des', and it's actually creepy how well Tennant plays him, he looks and sounds identical to the real guy - so much so that Tennant still kinda gives me the creeps a little when I've seen him in other TV shows and films. Hands down, the funniest part of this video for me as a Brit was Bailey's reaction to the name of one of the prisons he served time in 😂😂 Yorkshire is definitely not somewhere you associate anything "upper class". He was originally sent to HMP Wormwood Scrubs (Her Majesty's Prison - technically now it's HIS Majesty's Prison because we have a King now instead of a Queen) in London, then sent to HMP Parkhurst on the Isle of Wight when another inmate attacked him. Later, he was moved up north to HMP Wakefield (not far from where I grew up) until his transfer to HMP Full Sutton in 1990. 3 years after that, he was sent to HMP WhiteMoor for 10 years before finally being sent back to HMP Full Sutton again, where he remained until his death at a hospital in York.

I live not far from where Des' mother lives 🙈 I also loved David Tennant's portrayal like he became him! It was so hard not to despise his character even though he was so brilliant as an actor, I cried for his dog 🥺

I'm a brit too. From London. Actually I live up the Edgware road at the Barnet end. So this is maybe 6, 7 miles from me. Something is in the freakin water here, cos the St Albans poisoned stated life and poisoning people at the Welsh Harp, Hendon, even closer to me! No wonder I'm a fan of true crime, right? But it's a village. This loony loop still makes me shiver.
