@@pagandragon830 what's the best thing to feed wild pigeons in the winter?
@pagandragon83017 күн бұрын
@ajayjackson7727 Not sure. I don't have pigeons. Check Google though. And ask specific questions such as "what do pigeons eat in the wild during winter". I want about to take a YT channel's word on what is safe for my parrots - even though I bought the system guides - so started looking it up myself through parrot sites. Once I confirmed through 3 sites of getting the same info I felt better about what I was feeding them. Also, check out BirdTricks. They have doves as well and had someone with a pigeon one or twice.

When I got my first Grey, I was told to "keep him on the pellets (Zupreem)". Screw that! As soon as I started feeding him this, and "people food", he absolutely blossomed , and seemed to come so much more alive. Offer him whatever you are eating (except sweets and processed food). You will notice the difference, and your diet will improve as well.

Great job! "Chop" was "invented" by Patricia Sund of ParrotNation, who deplored seeing companion parrots being fed on seed-only diets. I've made it for my birds for years. May I just suggest the addition of some wholesome grains? Perhaps cooked quinoa, cooked whole-grain rice, or some oatmeal flakes or wheat germ? Just throw it all in there. The idea is if the bird doesn't like one ingredient, the chopped formula will have them consuming some of the other things as well. Thank you so much for adding to the health of our companions.
