The Japanese show passion in their work & it shows in the quality of their products, this Guy is no different & His knives look as if they are too good to use 👍

After watching this video for a secound time I visited the store and ordered one of his kniifes. iIt is a petit knife and for my own personal use, I am very impress but the quality and how it looks. Using the knife is very comfortable in hand and extremely sharp. I will be ordering the next size up in a few weeks.

There is not a higher concentration of craftsmen in the world as it does exist in Japan with high levels of integrity. My humble opinion.

I, too, share in the feeling of forging and finishing myself. There is nothing like looking at a piece that is finished by your own hands. And I hate grinding, I forge my knives as much as possible, so very little grinding is required as well very little loss of material.

Impressive. Some techniques are reminiscent of katana smithing such as the folded iron and charcoal hardening, while glass peening is used on the connecting rods in race car engines.

You should offer a tourism package where you take people to various artisans and eateries and act as the interpreter.
My very favorite kitchen knife was hand made by this man. He's the best...

An ultimate professional in his craft. However, I wish he wears eye protection. If the spark can hit his shoe, it can hit his eyes.

after i saw how your metal handle part connects with blade part i stopped watching, in few cycles of slightly heavier work its going to brake, even if you grind it, the steel is over worked
@billycarr74469 ай бұрын
OSHA would have a heart attack walking thru his shop. Working red hot steel on a hammer with no eye protection is dumb. Burns his foot because tennies. No leather apron. Where he does an upper body twist n lean and uses a small sledge on blades is not good for long term health. And torches next to a paper products storage.
