Ellen- I whipped my rebatch soap and put it into a jar and I’ve been using it as shave cream in the shower lol

You should try adding a tub of whole sale supplies plus whipped soap base to it next time and a tea spoon or to of glycerin and a pound of top of sugar and make a whipped sugar scrub. Out of your shreds. I personally just add my scraps to hot water jug. Shake couple times a day when it’s fully dissolved I wash laundry been doing this for years love it.

@@valbakke I've read articles that say you can use up to 5-8 oz per lb of soap, depending on how old and dry it is. I was using 5 oz per lb, and it was too wet for me.?. If it's not melting smooth, you can always add liquid as you go to soften it up...
@tamikad35352 жыл бұрын
Thanks. My idea is to make like a whipped soap from scraps like you did here, add possibly a whipped oil and whip it in, then add salt to make my version of like a whipped emulsifying scrub? I'm new to diy beauty so I have no experience with emulsifyers etc. My only concern is how the soap and oil will react to eachother in this way but I will see.

Quick question.......I know you mixed the color with oil but I’ve heard it can be mixed also with water with a little sugar in it. I’m scared it will be too oily if I use oil. And also, shouldn’t I use some type of liquid when it starts to melt the shavings? It just seems easier to start mixing, like it makes It “juicy”.

Yes, you can mix it with water. Just really watch the amount of liquid, this batch was way too wet, I shouldn’t have added quite so much liquid...
