Making Whisps Parmesan Crisps at home

Using freshly grated Parmesan cheese, a silicone cupcake mold, and a 1000W microwave, I made a light and airy Parmesan cheese crisp very similar to Whisps. I used 0.2 ounces of cheese and experimented with the microwave times. I liked it in the 35-40 second range.

Thanks for all your experimentation. That was great! I have a small silicone mini cupcake pan. If you put about a teaspoon (.1 oz, if you have a scale) of 4C Parmesan (which has no fillers or preservatives) and nuke it in a 1000 watt microwave for 50 seconds, you get something that is almost identical (in taste, texture, and size) to Whisps. They pop right out of the pan beautifully. One large jar of 4C will give you the equivalent of 3 bags of Whisps, for around the same price.

He's using a 1000 watt microwave oven for 35-40 seconds. Temperature is not relevant, nor is it a setting on the microwave.
