Still to this day, my absolute favorite supercar. Just so unbelievably pure in design and purpose, and still looks incredibly modern.

Agree with this, still remember the day I saw A Mclaren F1 thunder past me on the A4 going towards London. Btw check out what Gordon Murray has recently announced. I think you'll be pretty excited ;0)
This video taught me more than anything else about the F1, and I didn’t even understand one spoken word

It taught that an F1 driven by Hattori can be 3 seconds faster than an NSX driven by Tsuchya :))))) or 4 seconds faster than an Integra Type R under Kurosawa or Tsuchya )))) Bullshit!

@@goenglishcy Actually it says track was dry in Japanese. Though weather is cloudy. 1:04 is impressive for 90s standards btw. It is faster than F50 here by more than 1s. Though slower than F40.
These days the kids want McLaren P1 and Ferrari F50. The McLaren F1 and Ferrari F40 are on another level.

A peaceful review (I don't understand Japanese). What is being talked about seems to be similar to car reviews by Europeans and Americans-there isn't an infinite amount of things one can say about a car-but there is an ambiance to this video which I hadn't encountered in car reviews before. It's probably mostly the music, but also the demeanor of the presenters.

I remember when this car came out. 627 hp and 391 km/h was crazy back then. Most people don't know that the F1 actually had fan assisted ground effect.

@LBP2FanZX283 жыл бұрын
This was meant to be a roadcar first and foremost so calling it “super hardcore” isn’t an accurate description-respectfully. Gordon Murray’s philosophy was basically purity, making sure everything was engineered well and without unnecessary weight

The ultimate 'everyday' supercar I think was the brief. Full set of luggage and telephone are a clue to its primary use. Primary use has changed significantly now though

BEST MOTORING, still the best in 2024. That is where the shifter needs to be located in relation to the driver in EVERY manual transmission vehicle. Gordon Murray did some great work on this masterpiece. I never realized the massive bore sizes of the drill holes on the rotors.

@@rodolfolarapohlenz502 at least with those 90s tires, sub 1 minute is impossible in tsukuba for the F1, but without those miss-shift I think we can expect somewhere around 1:03, which is faster then the Track focused F40 (if you know that F1 is intended to be the ultimate road car so it has rather soft suspension)
