Mike thanks so much....I went from a 12 handicap index to a 6.9 (trending to 6.7 LOL) after watching your instruction on your site. I spent thousands of dollars on instruction (golftec, private lessons, etc.) and never could hit the ball consistently until you explained it to me FOR FREE! I wish I could get my money back and give it to you! again thanks MIKE!!!!

Awesome stuff as usual Mike! I kind of stumbled across this feel of the tossing of the ball almost underhanded by accident while practicing. Now that you've explained what was happening to Julie in her backswing, it makes so much sense. Thanks for everything!

This is great. I'm very much a 'feel' golfer and keeping elbows level on downswing just works for me. Brilliant.

*Mike * About 16 years ago I bought the Explanar Swing Trainer : After a few Months I started really making Solid Contact . Long Story Short : Don't remember why but Got involved with a Pro 6 years ago that pushed this drive the handle. I've lost so much power and accuracy, I've pretty much quit golfing. After watching your videos I dug out My Explanar from the back garage because I saw one in a Video of Yours. *LOW AND BEHOLD* That's the swing That's your Swing . NOT advocating people spend $1000 on an explanar . I watched a video from you last month . Since then I am back almost completely to my old swing. THANK YOU THANK YOU Thank Youuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

This helped me so much as a +2 with a closed clubface I sometime would have the feel of playing with a neutral face and would launch my longer clubs with greater ease. With a closed face I had to aggressively hit it and generate tons of spin....robbed me of distance with the long irons. Working with a shut face I was at 113mph and once I started working with a more neutral face I can now get it up to the 119 playing speed without fearing left....complete change in my game. Thanks!

Dear Mike, so happy to match these videos. I feel there is almost no body movement starting the down swing as the hands falling down, and after the club head hitting the ball in the follow through, the club head pulls the body moving forward. Am I right? Best regards Adolfo. Kao

As you rotate yours shoulder; swing the handle only and the club head will follow its path without you even thinking of it. The backhand is the face of the club so the hands must return to and through the original set to the ball. Swing the handle as a tennis player does with his two hands on the grip of his tennis racket. Mike himself suggested the instrument of the golf club and the tennis racket are one and the same and are built for the body to swing the grip handle only. That is Mike Malaska teachings in a nutshell which follows the teachings of Eddie Merrins the little pro. To swing the handle not the club head.

I enjoy the lessons w a student. Many of the other golf sites are repetitive and becoming redundant, stale, and are the same ole crap. Lets see people actually learning and getting lessons, like this, instead of someone preaching their boring ass theories. well doon laddie

No where in the entire footage was she “twisting her wrists”...a non-biomechanic function of said body part...like you tried to demonstrate like at 4:30 in the video. It seemed she simply misunderstood how the wrists properly hinge and not that she was “twisting” them, given what she stated and demonstrated, herein.

MIke is very uneducated regarding golf swing biomechanics and TGM mechanics. If a golfer (who uses a neutral left hand grip) gets the clubface too open with a "laid-off" clubshaft at the end-backswing position, then the right forearm is supinating too much while the left forearm is over-pronating. It is not due to a "right wrist twisting motion" problem! If Mike was TGM-literate, then he would realize that the RFFW must optimally support the intact LAFW at the end-backswing position while the clubshaft is "on-plane" (which means that the butt end of the club should be pointing at an extension of the ball-target line) - and that requires the right palm to be parallel to the intact LAFW at all times during the backswing action. To get the right palm to be parallel to the intact LAFW at the end-backswing position, the right forearm must only supinate to the degree necessary to achieve that goal. A golfer who has a shallow clubshaft at his end-backswing position (like Rickie Fowler) will need more right forearm supination that a golfer who has steeper clubshaft at his end-backswing position (like Bubba Watson and Ryan Moore).

what do you play off Jeffery and I bet youve got 25 degrees in how ashtrays need to be a certain angle on motorbikes. Its technical crap that has stopped potential good golfers from ever finding their swings. stick the biomechanics back in the biomechanics clasroom not in golf
