Its just the shadow of her holding her sword how she was holding it when she was in the air. However I can see what you're saying and it might have been an intentional choice by the artist and there's certainly nothing weird about noticing it. I always like to notice little stuff like that and even if it wasn't intentional by the artist if that's how the viewer sees it then that's totally fine. Art is all about interpreting it to fit what you see. Kinda like beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It all depends on who's looking and what they see or want to see. Nothing weird there. That person is weird for saying it's weird. They clearly don't understand art and interpretation of it.

A lot of people have pointed out how epic this episode is. I share their views, but I'd like to point out exactly what it is that makes this one in particular hit home so hard: It is an actual fight. A genuine, honest to god fight. We have seen our tarnished achieve victory before. We have seen him exploit weaknesses, we have seen him come out on top in both desperate and extremely silly ways. And we have also seen him flail around, screaming and dying, while trying to come up with some desperate gambit to turn it all around. But we have never seen him stand his ground and FIGHT. I think it's fitting that it took Malenia of all bosses to bring this out in him. There's something about her pride, her fury, and her relentless straightforward raw skill that forces anyone who fights her long enough to square up and put everything on the line. A fine display, tarnished. Now prepare to witness true horror. :3

The details on this... Frenzy caster getting picked off first after launching a single-hit spell (which Malenia is coded to always dodge) because he made the first attack and triggered agro... Prisoner still having no helm, keeping with continuity, shield charging to stagger and throwing away her shield to two-hand her spear, then gets grab animation'd... And the main boy putting his full strength build to use with not just Lion's Claw ash of war, but Dual Hammers!! And dodging Waterfowl!?? This is 100% meeting my high expectations.

This is some god-tier quality action. I just beat Malenia yesterday and felt just like this during the entire battle. Yes it was crazy and like most players I lost count of how many YOU DIEDs splatted on my face, but at some point I found myself reveling in the battle so much like never before. Somehow I didn't want the fight to end. When I finally beat her, a surge of emotion kicked in, and while my fight wasn't half as epic as that in the video, I'm sure it's the same kind of emotional tribute that Carbot has put in this yet another masterpiece of a cartoon. The excitement only grows stronger when I think of the first video in the 'So I Tried Elden Ring' series. Great work and huge respect!🔥

Got to Malenia today for the first time and after celebrating my victory on the first try(didn't know about the second phase tho) this video is just perfect! When I first dodged her Waterfowl dance later it felt epic just like the scene from this video. Now everytime I try her I will play this theme in the background. I loved all the videos so far but this is a masterpiece..just beautiful. Cheers and keep going.

The double hammer setup reminded me of my friend who uses the same weapon along with a fingerprint shield. It was damn near poetic when we fought Malenia. Got her on her last sliver of health and she did a waterfowl at the last second. My friend literally went: “YOUR ROT WILL NEVER INCFECT THESE LANDS EVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!” Then did a fucking war cry while doing the lions claw ash of war. They traded and killed eachother. I swear it was like i was watching an anime fight 😂
