Jethro Lagon i think these strategies help but doesnt eliminate stress completely. like there will always be stress. you have 2 options you can either accept & react better or change... an interview you cant change, you will have to find a way to deal with the situation, to eliminate that stress... trying to change a situation doesnt always help since it could be the cause of stress and not prevent stress. i think unfortunately there are many things that we cant change... its just dealing with them in a better way...

This is a great little video - easy to follow & understand, essential stress management tips. THANK YOU!
@bloodstain30004 жыл бұрын
In my eye this is a bit superficial - chronic stress is rooted in thought patterns. Breathing or distraction will only help in the short term. Feeling loss of control or not being fit to the task have more to do with self esteem which in turn stems from upbringing or subconscious beliefs. Without work on the root causes, this stress management approach is limited to short term relief.

I gave this exact advice through a megaphone to my friend Flint. He was on the third floor of a burning building ( a stressful situation I'm sure you'll agree) and I said "Flint! Flint!" "Yes?" he replied as he had heard me. "Are you finding this situation stressful?" I queried "Yes." he replied with a different inflection than before. As the room he was in filled with smoke I advised him to breathe deeply and you can imagine what happened next...

Actually, taking deep breats is the most effective way to become relax. It is more important than the other techniques because it is not only about your mental health. It makes your body relax first and than your brain cannot say you are nervous or stressful. There is a technique that called "rotative nasal breathing". This method can make you calm around 1 minute and also you can use this way to make better your sleep patern. In conclusion, taking effective breats is the best way to getting calmer.

@mariewilliams66313 жыл бұрын
Take deep breath and think whatever who cares it's not a big deal. Keep calm and carry on you will be less stressed if you care less. It's best not to take life too seriously. Everyone gets stressed try and stay calm and relaxed and rationalized the situation. Think will I still care in 5 years time. Stress can exacerbate into anger issues and snapping at people. So try and think to be polite. If people are being inconsiderate they are not thinking about people's feelings. People are a lot more self focused and less respectful and unsympathetic. Dont take it personally what people say or do. Dont show a weakness I know from past experiences. That it is easy to attract bullies if you look vulnerable. Or people might like to laugh or makes jokes at people's expense to feel better about themselves. It's their problem they are just being immature and enjoying acting superior to boost their self esteem. There are loads of videos on KZbin about dbt and cbt therapy. Ignore drama and you will feel calmer. If people are being rude just say excuse me lets keep it polite. But dont go down to their level and be rude back . Because they will be even more nasty . And you will be being as immature as them. It best to always carry yourself with dignity . And be confident and happy and believe in yourself. Be tough life is rough if you get knocked down get back up again. Laughing is a good way to deal with stress. Trust your judgement If people show disrespect they lack respect. How people treat people tells you how much they think about you.

The mindfulness book "30 Days to Reduce Stress" by Harper Daniels is a good resource also.
Useful information. To feel better reduce negative thoughts with a simple practice. Your breathing is closely related to the brain [mind] and gives good relief from stress-anxiety. To relax sit on a chair or lie down, neck straight, eyes closed and observe the sensations of your incoming--outgoing breath at the entrance of the nostrils for 5-10-15 minutes or more. Don’t fight your thoughts. With daily practice the mind will relax. No deep breathing needed. Do the practice without any expectations. When taking a walk, at office, in school, when reading, before sleep etc observe your breath sensations. Like me, make this a lifetime daily habit to have a good life. Reduce watching negative social media and avoid constipation as it affects the mind instantly. Best wishes--Counsellor.
