Lets extend the ending a bit: The MC and his new girlfriend gets married and they continue to make wonderful paintings and arts which spread joy all around the world. Akane remained single for the rest of her life as her other relationships fail one after another. At home, when she saw the MC on TV about a new art, she cries and regrets cheating on him as she realizes that she will now live alone forever. Daisuke, the villain, has lost everything on the other hand. Assuming his parents and the MC's parents are friends, they must be furious as to what they had done to our MC. Daisuke fell on the bottom of the pyramid now that everyone knows how he treated our MC horribly. He even got disowned after he refuses to apologize. He couldn't even get to a university as a result and soon became a homeless drunk. When he sees the MC on TV, he will rage as to what did he do to deserve it, why our MC became so successful than him before finally admitting to himself that he was jealous of our MC having a good time and that he felt inferior compared to him as he now has to live without anyone's support for the rest of his life.

Let’s change that a little bit. Daisuke didn’t get disowned simply for betraying Naoki. He got disowned because he betrayed Naoki, spread lies about him, emotionally abused Akane, dumped her, then attempted to destroy Naoki again. At this point, his parents question whether he will continue to make questionable decisions in the future, so they tell him to not only apologize to Naoki, but also Akane, and to do whatever work they desire for the rest of high school. He refuses, saying he doesn’t have to apologize to Naoki now things are better for him, and Akane went along with it so he owes her nothing. The result is his family disowning him and his life turning to a downward spiral. Years later, after seeing Naoki on TV and realizing he did it all out of jealousy, he finally decides to begin rebuilding his life from scratch. It takes decades, but eventually he has a family and a sufficient job, but he always wonders what could’ve been had he not betrayed his best friend. Akane, on the other hand, is emotionally traumatized by this event. Not only did she lose her boyfriend and her best friend from childhood, but she was emotionally abused and manipulated by her other best friend from childhood. As a result she becomes both fearful of developing relationships with others and obsessive with the relationships she makes, causing her to become isolated and lose the majority of relationships she makes. Eventually, she too sees Naoki on TV, and breaks down as the memories come flooding back. Near suicidal, she decides on one final desperate course of action: calling Shinomiya. She knows she can never get back together with Naoki… but maybe she doesn’t have to. Maybe, just maybe… they can simply start as friends again. After all, what more could she lose?

Akane drops out of highschool, while Daisuke ends up in the same company his father is working in the transportation business. Then Daisuke sees Naoki and Shinomiya having a fun college life with their friends. Daisuke ends up frustrated that he will not have that happy college life. Daisuke in frustration, ends up having an affair with a married woman from the company he's working. Akane ends up knowing about Daisuke having an affair. Akane decides to divorce Daisuke. Daisuke's parents end up paying Akane for compensation. Daisuke is disowned, not just for having an affair, but because his father ended up demoted because of him. Daisuke ends up far away, where he ends up as a male prostitute. Because of this, Daisuke ends up being arrested, for having sex with a 17 year old girl. He now wonders what life would've been for him, if he didn't betray Naoki or if he didn't cheat on his wife Akane. Years later, Akane being a single mother, runs a business with her 7 year old daughter. Her daughter dropped the toy she was holding. The toy was pick up by a man. When Akane saw the man, she recognizes him as her ex Naoki. Naoki doesn't recognized Akane(due to aging via stress). Shinomiya's and Naoki's children call to their dad. Shinomiya: _Naoki hurry up! Will be late for the art exhibition._ Naoki runs to his family, leaving Akane and her daughter. Akane is seen by her daughter crying. Akane seeing Naoki, brings back a lifetime of painful memories and regret. She is now asking herself, _why did I betray Naoki?_

Honestly reading between the actions it did seem like Naruse was emotionally abusive to Akane. The way he spoke over her, spoke for her and seemingly made decisions for her came across like that. She isn't innocent and is selfish. She still made the decision to cheat on Naoki and string him along while hiding a secret relationship with his former best friend. If Naruse used the same methods he attempted on Shinomiya then Akane is a fool for falling for it. But I do hope she is able to escape Naruse because she doesn't deserve to live with that.

Even if Akane does escape Daisuke, she wont escape being labelled as a traitor for betraying Naoki. Men will be wary and not trust Akane, due to cheating and portaying Naoki as the guy who cheated on her. That just showed the two were never Naoki friends/GF by the fact they did this behind his back, then when caught, tried to lie and ruin his reputation to save their own, whatever he talked about it or not! Akane at least had enough shame (though not enough to shamelessly try to get back with Naoki AFTER her and Daisuke's lie on him blew back on her!) to not even SHOW her face to Naoki after that lie! Daisuke had to rub it in by PRETENDING he was the good white knight when he wasn't! So got to hope the reputation loss hurts him more then Akane! He'll get WAY worse because "now she outlived her usefulness" and he's wondering what's the point of keeping her again! Till he remembers he already SLOTED himself as her white knight and protector and it would look bad if he dumped her so easily or cheated on her and got caught, which would bring suspicion on the story he pushed Akane to tell with him on Naoki! Either way, Akane gets the ending she deserves for being so meek and weak!) I can see this tainting Akane from now on! Both outwardly if her reputation precedes her and inwardly as she can never sidestep the fact she's a cheater, liar and betrayer (BAD FRIEND and BAD GIRLFRIEND) which will shoot whatever "Confidence" she was getting from cheating on Naoki! Frankly speaking, the rush from cheating "IS NEVER WORTH IT!" But it shows Daisuke likely would never have a chance with her if it was "normal!" As it's the fucked up part of the relationship that kept it together and started it! The Magic will die the moment the diminished returns kicked in, which did IMMEDIATLY when she and Daisuke were exposed (and I wouldn't be surprised Daisuke is busy trying to pin the whole thing on HER and downplaying his role to save himself seeing how selfish he's shown himself to be! He sure was "A better catch then Naoki" it seems! When i was in my teen years i was really fat to the extend that i get fainted after doing some physical work like running , I was stated as a clumsy boy who does not do anything properly. so my grandparents and parents says to not door help them in small house works like planting vegetables,climbing small ladder to harvest pepper etc ( i am not saying that they don't love me , they all love me clearly but they don't have any confidence in me doing anything properly before even trying) because of that i started to think that i do not have single bit of talent to do anything properly , so when doing something i became very stressed because of fear of ridicule from others for not doing it properly eventually get ridiculed , so when i get chance to do small house works or studying to ride bycycle i became highly stressed and embarasse myself again....i also has an older brother who was opposite to me , has a fit body and talented at doing physical works and also not get afraid easily like me and even though he does not score high marks like me who obtain high marks through studying very hard , the marks he obtained was by just listening in the class and zero work at homev. my family and others started to compare me to my brother who was three year older than me , at first i didn't mind it then it beacame more frequent and harsh (saying things openly to me) like , study looking at your brother , you cannot do this so call your brother , you don't have talent like your brother , became more brave like your brother etc I worked so hard to get rid of all these sarcasm but everything didn't do much so i became impatient , tired and pity myself to the point to think i want die so as to escape from everything. One day at my friend house we were watching a movie. Mc was a teen kid like me , at the middle of the movie when everyone ridiculed him by saying that he have no talent in doing a job which was his dream to have in future.His granpa a high buisness man said to him something which changed my life. No one really ever believed in myself, my family, my so-called "friends", the adults that were around myself, etc. Even in my senior year of high school, they had labeled myself as "Most Likely to be Remembered" because I had the courage to speak out against injustice, lies, evil, and hypocrisy of other people, and it also did not help that I was later falsely charged for crimes later that year as well. What made matters even worse is that my peers ultimately saw myself as a joke, they did not see that their environment was toxic, that the adults, including my family, were toxic, they never once asked me if something was wrong in my life, they thought of myself as a joke, despite myself doing the best I can to be a good friend, and an influence in their lives and, yet, I got labeled as a criminal, useless, not worth anything, etc. What made matters worse is that where I lived had little to no good job or educational prospects, and, thanks to the corruption of that place, I never got a scholarship to a university. I could go on and on with the vast amount of things that have went wrong in my life, despite my best efforts to overcome them, but it has made me a fellow shut-in to someone that is one, as well as is also a very toxic one in their life, and the saddest part is that he, and the other people that he knew, will not acknowledge their toxic behavior in their lives, and, aside from the Creator, YAHWEH EL ELOHIM, I literally have no one to turn to in my life, and I want out of things so badly in my life. Betrayal hurts. Naoki really trusted his childhood friends and for them to betray him like that must have been painful for him then they had the audacity to make Naoki the villain to make his life miserable. His life got better when Shinomiya San approached him. She was always in love with Naoki but since he was dating Akane she had to hold back her feelings. She approached him at the right time and things started looking good for Naoki. I’m glad he cut ties with his fake childhood friends. The nerve of Akane wanting to get back together is so annoying. Daisuke on the other hand is a hypocrite and a narcissist who only cares about himself and after seeing Naoki and Shinomiya dating he tries to make Naoki get back together with his ex and date Shinomiya but Naoki and Shinomiya saw through him and I was happy when Shinomiya slapped Daisuke. I’m the end Naoki got revenge in his two fake childhood friends and now he has found true love. Thank you Kanon for this amazing story.

I think it won't work if you ask them to "ask that person", the other person was probably being framed as well since you can't justify cheating and people would be like "thief won't admit he is a thief". If you want a comeback, best probably be chill with the allegation, and if you also have the energy you could also gather some evidence while finding your own happiness. The trick to reading NTR is to turn your brain off. It's probably hard for some people who enjoy vanilla and usually attach themselves to the MC, but I guess it's easier for me since I don't attach myself like that. Some of the scenes might sting as the NTR author intended, but just think they're all drawings and you're just reading them to "do your business". Why bother putting the effort to read NTR? I mean, they have god-tier artists for some reason.

Meanwhile, there's also Netori where the MC is the one stealing women from side characters. Some folks really dig into those despite having absolute hatred for Netorare. For me, I read them so long as the art hooks me in. I don't take betrayal too deeply since they're just drawings. Of course, betrayal will suck IRL but you gotta distinguish fiction from reality. You liking the more degenerate tags (NTR, Loli, Guro) shouldn't define who or what you are IRL. Oh, I'm not convincing you of anything. I'm just offering my idea from a different perspective.

Daisuke got disowned by his parents and now he lives in poverty and gone crazy. Akane had to quit from school because everyone labeled Akane as a cheater and traitor. Akane became shut in and start crying for regret. She even getting more sad about Naoki and Shinomiya have become popular in their workplaces. And she will live alone and single forever.

The funny thing, is I think Akane was in on Daisuke's plan of making Naoki and Shinomiya of breaking the 2 up. Akane went to get back with Naoki, but hasn't broken up with Daisuke. Meanwhile at that same time, Daisuke confronts Shinomiya, and tells bad things about Naoki and that he'll get back with his ex Akane. It seems too well planned to be a coincidence that Akane confronting Naoki to get back with him and Daisuke confronting Shinomiya were happening at the same time, in 2 different places. Also, Akane's dialogue is a ref flag. Akane: _I'll break up with Daisuke._ Seems to me, she hasn't broken up with Daisuke. Also, why does Daisuke knows that Akane is trying to get back with Naoki? In a normal break up, either the guy or the girl would say, *lets break up, I like someone else.* In this situation, Akane can even add the dialogue, _I can't stand how people have been treating us._ Plus, when a girl/guy breaks up with their boyfriend/girlfriend, they keep the person they like, anonymous. So Daisuke knowing Akane is getting back with her ex Naoki, yet he doesn't make an effort to fix his relationship with Akane. That is another red flag there. Why are the 2 doing this? If Naoki ends up betraying Shinomiya, the entire school would talk about him as a scumbag. The people in that school would forget about Akane's and Daisuke's betrayal of Naoki. At least that is what Akane and Daisuke are hoping for. Even Naoki figured out that Akane getting back with him, was all part of Daisuke's plan, when he heard Shinomiya talk about Daisuke. Too bad Naoki didn't fall for Akane's and Daisuki's plan

As much as I love this type of story, the beginning always hurts. I gotta say I loved the VA's, they're very fitting for these 2 characters, they made the video great. Tbh, I would say the MC is really lucky here, even if he got cheated, especially if we were to look at things in the long run. A girl, as trusting and naive as her, who totally lacks the capacity to confront and talk out problems and concerns with her partner would have lead to even worse doom, later on, especially if he were to have a family with someone like her. She might have even gotten wrongly influenced by some divorced/single 30+ "independent womanist type" (that are no less in Japan), who would have pretended to be her friend, only to break up her family cause she couldn't stand her happiness. Even if things would have felt difficult, and if he would not have met the girl he was to be with later on, he would still have been far better off being cheated on in this stage of relationship, cause the hurt would have been much worse if his family and finances were also involved

Yeah I do see a chance for her! It won't change that she betrayed Naoki then shamelessly tried to get back with him AFTER the lie got exposed in it blew back on her and Daisuke! But I noted she didn't appear in front of Naoki when the lie was going around like Daisuke to "milk the sympathy" like he did while talking down to him! Likely her doing this was her desperately wanting to run back to the safe comfort of that relationship! However it's clear Daisuke "talked her" into believing it would work out and she never once questioned him out of meek weakness and for awhile she felt guilty once caught and the lie was spread, but if not for "The treasure" that is Naoki "new girl" Shinomiya I'm sure in time as Naoki's reputation goes further and further down the drain to open bullying and Daisuke further manipulating her with the fear of being exposed! She'd have turned on him too and tried to find excuses to justify why Naoki "brought it on himself and she's not the bad guy!" In a way I see it starting a month or so AFTER this story ended with her having to watch Naoki and his new relationship from afar, while people are knowingly talking about her behind her back as HER reputation is going into the toilet! Daisuke will still be the villain as he's trying to cling to her because he himself has become unwelcomed, but I see Naoki forgiving her and saving her from Daisuke clutches! If ONLY for old times sake, making her regret betraying him even more! Hence where the redemption begins as we're shown all her attempts to improve herself! Yeah her bad reputation still remains till she graduates and gets away from it, but she graduates having at least buried the hatchet with Naoki! Time skip and she's become a better person, much better then the weak individual she was back then and things between her and Naoki are back to the level it was when they were FRIENDS before they started dating! Even better! She has moved on and runs into Daisuke again who has grown into a loser but still acts as though he still has POWER over her, only no Naoki saving her this time! She saves herself and gives Daisuke as their LAST conversation with each other a good reason HE sucked back then and now mixed in with "the her back then" as well! Showing her admission that Daisuke made the offer to betray Naoki, but it was on HER to take it or not, and she did! Didn't matter if she was meek when she did so, she still did so! Especially with Shinomiya in mind as she did what Akane points out SHE SHOULD HAVE DID WHEN HE FIRST APPROACHED HER THEN! Slap him then tell Naoki what he tried to do. I see Akane less as a bitch and more as a Weak person....likely cause I did something similar! Betraying a friend out of peer pressure and to not get bullied anymore in middle school! It only lasted a MONTH before the bullies got caught because I went too far in trying to "impress them" by leaving THREATS of jumping to him! He told the teacher and they all got rounded up! I avoided punishment because my reputation was still good so I lied shamelessly (which still guilts me to this day two decades later, and even at the time too) that I was "trying to warn him!" It only worked cause "he told the teacher he trusted me!" I don't know if he really believed me or still viewed me as a friend, but we restarted our friendship and frankly I was a HUGE butt kisser to him at the time! Largely because I had a "My god WHAT HAVE I DONE!" after that and wanted to atone! We separated in HS on good terms! But that was the First and LAST time I willingly betrayed someone in my life, and I don't EVER plan to repeat it! Frankly I'm a lucky one that I even got a CHANCE for redemption! But I never let it go to waste! It's acknowledging and working on your weakness that you find strength! Others can help, but you have to be the one to CHOSE to "do better!" And never make excuses for your betrayals and ADMIT the reasoning to those who deserve to know (Like me with my friend!) That I was a weak pathetic coward who when faced with a chance to save myself, took the option and became a bigger monster then the bullies in the hopes of never being a victim again! And a near miss of Karma I SO richly deserved made DAMN well certain I'll NEVER do that again! Its not a revenge story tho, by how naoki acted at the beginning, he is not the kind of person that would resort to revenge or the likes and all shinomiya did was to clear the misunderstansing of naoki framed as the cheater, any repercussion for akane and daisuke was not premeditated. By how the story and character develpment went, the last thing shinomiya and naoki would have in their minds is to exact revenge.

A better revenge story would be chad going in and gets Akane, does the r word to her, then chad leaves and cannot be tracked. Akane then names Natsuke as the father and makes him suffer as well by suing him for child support because she can’t trace chad.

Wow, that confrontation was something. The MC's reaction to seeing both Akane and Naruse in a date really hurt. Personally watching this, I felt like confronting them was the right call since keeping that secret within himself would just cause more emotional turmoil. Maybe he was also in disbelief. All in all, he just wanted to know why. And in that question he asks himself, he chooses to just confront them as it's the easiest way to confirm. That's what I love about it. He wasn't angry since he just wanted to know. He wanted to hear it from the person he thought he could trust the most. Even after Akane requests the break up, he simply accepts and even says thank you. He probably isn't satisfied with Akane's answer, but he accepts it anyway since he doesn't want to force her. He probably didn't feel any relief. In fact, he could've felt much worse. However, I think that was the only way for him to finally realize what he needed to realize and move on. I'm glad the MC found someone new who he could trust again after all that has happened to him.

In my opinion, it's almost never your fault for being absent if you're at least trying to always make up for it in someway. Constantly trying inviting your loved one to dinner, or watching a movie, or going out on a date, or staying home with them, to make up for the lost time and also to spend time with them? I feel like that'd stop you from being the one at fault, constantly doing your best to make it up to them, despite how busy you can be. I might be selfish for saying this, but if your loved one doesn't want to ever take those offers, and then go on to say "they got bored" or "you never tried to spend time", you aren't the one at fault here. Even with or without the cheating they could do.

Hilarious that the painting at the end was of Icarus. For those who don’t know, Icarus was the son of an architect imprisoned with his father in a tower. The father helped the Minoan queen mate with a cow creating the Minotaur. The architect didn’t want his son to be in prison all his life. So he crafted his son Icarus wings from feathers from the birds nesting in the tower. He molded them to his son’s back and warned him not to fly near water or too high as the wax holding the feathers together would melt. To be honest, I was expecting the childhood traitors to ruin the art piece made for submission to get back at the queen bee for calling them out in the first place, seeing the distraught queen bee resolved the MC to pick up the paintbrush to make a masterpiece in one day like a secret prodigy, saying something like: "It's one thing to draw for fun, but it's another if I'm drawing for someone special to me." That or the both of them would work on the masterpiece together as a couple. That would've been cool. The original ending is okay though. I just feel like it's a little tame.
