I did it yesterday and the result was wonderful! The recipe was very tasty and not too sugary, just perfect. Everyone loved it thank you so much! The first time I tried I used regular rice flour and the dough had no elasticity, it was impossible to close them without ripping them appart. The glutinous rice flour is absolutely necessary if anyone is wondering!

What brand of flour did you use?

​@@mariammohammed8707 The brand is "Eaglobe" (a yellow and red logo with an eagle on top). Although, I live in france and found it in an asian-specialised supermarket. It might not be available everywhere

Здравствуйте, ваш рецепт моти ЛУЧШИЙ! Тесто с молоком и именно с сливочным маслом вкуснее, чем с водой и растительным маслом. Готовлю каждую неделю, уже несколько месяцев, не могу остановиться 😅 СПАСИБО! 🤗

When you say “steam it” how do you do that? Is it some kind of double boiler set up? Or are you putting it in the oven with water? Do you have a different video where you show that step? Love the idea of this and really want to try it 😊

You can also cook it in a non stick pan. Pour the batter in, med to low heat and with a spatula stir it. It will become thick , stir and fold until you get a smooth dough..

She puts the plastic and pokes holes? Well, You can put it in the microwave for 30 seconds stir and repeat until is cooked or in a double bath a pot of hot water under the bowl and cover it making sure the bowl with the mochi mix fits for the steam to cook it.

hmm maybe the flour you used wasnt the one needed? i mean, to make mochi you need glutinous rice flour. and when i made mochi for the first time i had bought wrong flour, it was called “rice flour” (it wasn’t “glutinous”). so i’m guessing that the flour was the problem. i hope you understood what i was trying to say since english is not my first language lmao and good luck with your mochi!💪💪💪💪

I picked it from our warehouse, but we did not list it in my store. I thought you could use a small bowl to make mochi though, which makes this mold seems not exactly necessary? Do you need this mold?

Hi! I have a question, I've seen that you sometimes microwave the dough but you sometimes cook it in a pan, I don't have a microwave, would it be possible for me to always cook it in a pan? or is the microwave necessary?

The dough may taste slightly different if you cook it in the pan, but I actually prefer to cook it in the pan, its much more to easier to handle. Make sure you add in the butter while you cooking it in the pan.

Not sure if humidity has anything to do with it but I live in hawaii n it'll only last several days. Starts to get moldy quick

Take half a cup of the glutinous rice flour and fry on small medium heat for a few minutes just to cook the flour.
