Why is it when I press -3 to the 2nd power it comes up -9? It should be positive 9. Can you help me? Are my settings wrong? Thank you.

Hi there, you need to use parenthesis if you meant (-3)^2 , which is 9 but if the question is written as -3^2, the correct answer is -9

I'm 10 years-old by the way, Plus I'm in 5th grade, I know equations from 6th grade, 7th, and even from college!
