I agree it is the source of information. I am a senior woman who worked in higher education. My friends who were colleagues all have advanced degrees. One friend only watches Fox. I have to say I was shocked. She, a lifelong educator, spews all Fox talking points. She quotes articles without acknowledging the author has dubious credentials. A retired college professor! I have ended the 25 year friendship. Sad that we have come to the final years of our lives and this is how friendship ends.

throughout the election, I heard complaints about mainstream media not taking this seriously. Now I hear from you what sounds to me as though you are not taking this seriously. You are acting as though we will again have an election. You are acting as though democracy lost, and dictatorship one. You were acting as though we are not living under a dictator effective sometime in January. I do not understand why you are not asking Biden, the president who just started World War III, to allow the states voting for democracy to succeed from the union. Strangely, it had one of the Micellas brothers, sitting next to Michael while he spoke. MTN is saying that they want Orange Menace to succeed. BTC is only hyperbolic titles grabbing a viewers eyes, with no real message or unifying movement behind it. Anybody who signs up to MTN is being suckered.

I think schools are falling down on the job. I think every student should be expected to pass a class on politics and how it affects their lives. Educators should be making more of an effort to teach high schoolers about government and about disinformation and how lack of knowledge about these things is dangerous. There are important lessons to learn and it needs to start in school. If kids happen to have parents who are politically active they may learn some of these things from them. However, I think that would be a very small number of people. That's why I feel like schools need to put more emphasis on this in high school.

Mark, I think Brian had the right idea of people taking a break if they feel they need it, but at the same time they should use the break to recharge their batteries but should consider coming back and help in the fight to keep democracy alive and help to get it back for the people. The fight may look weak and vulnerable but as time goes on the fight gets stronger, louder and unbearable and will eventually, together we are strong and divided we fall. As a 70 year old female, I attended a day of unity rally yesterday. Nazi flags are being raised in our neighborhood. This rally was to come out and stand against hate and antisemitism. A good old fashioned “pound the pavement” rally is something I am familiar with from the old days. Definitely lifted my spirits to see like minded people in person. Also made me feel I can still contribute.

As a 54-year-old woman with mobility disabilities and breathing disabilities due to a rare blood disorder I am scared to death. However because I am the daughter of a 30-year Navy veteran who was a Vietnam vet and the mother of a veteran who is disabled from the Iraqi war and the niece of two other Vietnam veterans as well as having worked for the US military as a nurse myself, my response to fear is to fight back to investigate and look for information that I can utilize to get through this situation as safely as possible. I have yet to have allowed myself to take a day or two off from all of this which I desperately need because I need to know what's going on more than I need to catch up on some rest. I pray for all of us in this country and particularly for the immigrants. One of my dearest friends is the DACA recipient and she is just a wonderful woman with children and a husband who works hard and does nothing but good for the people around her. I am truly terrified for her and her family when these people get around to whatever hell on Earth they have planned for Phoenix.
