Marco was able to stall the original three Logia Admirals in Marineford. He prevented Kizaru from attacking old man Whitebeard. He kicked Aokiji and drew blood when Aokiji was trying to engage with Whitebeard. And then, he was able to stall Akainu when Akainu was going after Luffy. Marco is a beast and a veteran. This man was first division commander even before Oden joined the crew.

But in terms of power I'm still pretty sure WB crew would obliterate BB if not for the amount of damage they have received from the World Gov and Shichibukai. (WB was already dying when he came there, but by the time BB came WB had his internals burnt by Akainu, etc.) Another thing would be debating on how would the exact ranking look like now after the time skip and some arcs (Marco seems to be even stronger despite not being in a crew anymore, but dunno about his comrades, whereas BB's crew is continuously growing).

His devil fruit is not made for combat, tho. Oda himself stated that his mythical zoan does not grant ANY offensive capabilities. All he's able to do is push people bavk with high speed and velocity. This doesn't do any real damage to strong characters. That's why I love the theory of his fruit not being awakened yet. A blue phoenix gets reborn with red flames. So, I'm guessing Marko might die in the final saga, to raise up stronger than ever. Since a red phoenix is capable of using both, sacred and hell fire, he would keep his regeneration, but would get actual offensive moves on top. Pretty sure Marco is the dude we see with the absolute finest control over his DF. He can shift in and out of man, animal, and everything in between at the blink of an eye - even dudes like Jack or Queen show nowhere near as much mastery over form shifting as Marco does here.

Which is inconsistent, these characters have the same rank, they are supposed to be equals. And on top of that, one of the major plot points of the "new world" segment of the story is related to the Emperors and their stalemate, that's why nobody found the One Piece yet. If Marco is so much stronger, if White Beard has the strongest devil fruit, etc.. then why the hell WB acted like a coward when he found out Oden's family (and his home) are being enslaved by Kaido? It makes no sense, that only happened because Oden himself is a retcon
