I really hope Toadsworth will be in the game.. he has pretty much completely disappeared from Mario games, the Mario & Luigi series was his last appearance and he was always a fun character in these games.

@@Siebbe oh that is true, didnt think about that lol. Though that is a bit iffy of course since its a remake of an old game. Same thing would go for 3D All Stars then. I believe his last “new” appearance was Mario & Luigi Dream Team all the way back in 2013

A part of me hopes the other races will return. Dream Team already did it with the Beanbean kingdom residents while introducing the Pillo people. They could do it again and reintroduce the Beanbean and Pillo residents this time and seeing them interact with the Concordians.

I have a huge prediction that I’m confident will be true; since Starlow is now peaches companion and M&L get Snoutlet, I bet that Peach will be a playable character at some points in the game. That’s going to be sick if true, calling it here right now

There’s definitely continuity with Dream Team. Look at the Luigi Logic being used in battle. Luigi just lunges at the boss and grabs it by the tongue. He wouldn't even think of doing that in the early games.

I think having enemies returning from the dream world isn't that odd when you consider that many characters in subcon in smb2 where in the main world of mario in other games, I understand the dream world is a bit different to that but it's probably the same principle behind it. It's kind of like how shy guys show up outside subcon

7:09 We still don't know what happened to the shroobs after Bowser's inside Story(Bowser's Castle basement), considering that Bowser's Castle is completely different/remodeled in Paper Jam, we might not see the shroobs returning as a role. However, in BiS, during the theater scene with Fawful, there's actually a shroob watching the show. The existence of that shroob statue thingy also implies that the shroobs truly still exist and someone or something built that rock. I know its just an easter egg from the developers, but story-wise? Hard to explain

I think there was restrictions on paper jam bros. Remember that was more than 5 years ago at this point. Notice how in the superstar saga and bowsers inside story remakes that all the toads were replaced with red toads. But the new ttyd and Mario rpg remakes don’t turn all to toads red. There definitely where restrictions implemented sometime between 2013 and 2019 at least

Also I will point out, Mario and luigi, Mario and luigi flutter in the air when they dodge with a jump, the exact thing Paper Mario does in paper jam. I'd like to think this a bit of continuity as they learned that from him.

I feel like that's more of a "plug" feature for "Easy-peasy Counters" or a callback to some of the gear in Superstar Saga that let you flutterjump, but yea that's a neat reference

I am still in believe that there is no mandate anymore ON THE ORIGINAL CHARACTERS. All of the previous returning characters are all original creatures from previous games and not the variants of pre existing spiecies, if only Sharkbone returns and not sand cheep it will prove my theory, but we have to wait and see.

@@Simply_resharkable they’re actually was something added in the remake. In the Bowser Jrs journey side mode, you fight a ton of shroobs. They’re just out and about walking around. Way more than just a few have thawed out

It would be cool to see a bat enemy other than a swoop that looks a little bit like Antasma. He's such an underrated villain and I would love to find something that references him in brothership. Also the elite trio, E gadd and toadsworth would be fun to see!
