Actually, this also makes sense in terms of _how Bowser got the idea to make Bowser Jr._ - at first, he had the Koopalings for this purpose and wanted them to be his successors (presumably Ludwig probably), but then in _Partners in Time_, there's that sequence where Bowser teams up with his past self. He must've got the idea into his head that an exact duplicate of himself would be a lot more suited to being his successor than the genetically diverse Koopalings.

3:16 More of a headcanon perspective but he maybe adopted the Koopalings to be army generals rather than successors all except for the eldest, Ludwig, who was set to be the heir to the throne. In the meantime, Bowser and Kamek were working on a copying spell and created Bowser Jr via unnatural means. The reason it took so long was to not only copy genetic material (which Kamek is already capable of doing) but also trying to revert that material into a younger state.

Well, Bowser is just a big Koopa, maybe a subspecies or a "special" individual, like what Ganondorf is to the Gerudo. We know that female koopas exist (Wendy and many others seen in Paper Mario) so maybe there was a female koopa like her OR he had a son with a regular female koopa.

I've had a similar theory for years, but with a few differences... The cloning was magical in nature and was done by Kemek Cloning isn't always precise. The first seven clones weren't quite "perfect", (IE Just like original Bowser). Heck, one of them even came out female. However, Bowser still liked the idea of 7 younger variants of himself and so on his next attempt to conquer The Mushroom Kingdom, he had his seven "children" to help. While the kids were loyal to Bowser, he was getting frustrated with their failures to beat The Marios. (Ignoring his own failures on the same matter.) Meanwhile, Kemek was secretly still trying to make a "perfect" clone of Bowser. When Bowser Jr finally comes forth. Overjoyed that he finally has a "real" son, Bowser disowns the Koopalings. He still keeps them around because they're still pretty good warriors. The koopalings remained loyal to Bowser. Each of them hopes that if they ever manage to kill one (or both) of The Marios, then they'll bee his child again. They work for Bowser Jr in hopes of protecting their youngest brother from their father's wrath because they don't want to see him fall out of favor with Bowser as they did.

I don't think the Koopalings are clones, they're more likely just adopted. But that doesn't mean that there weren't failed clones... in The Lost Levels there's a boss known by the community as "Bowser's Brother" or "Fake Bowser" who is basically just a fake Bowser duplicate you fight before the _actual_ Bowser fight. They provide no explanation as to who they were or how they exist (though there are certainly plenty of fan theories about it), so perhaps that was one of his early clone experiments?

I think it is Asexual Reproduction, but I also think Bowser is the youngest of his generation and has 7 older brothers and/or sisters that either didn't have the time to raise their children or had previously died which is how he got the Koopalings. Another factor to add, though it might not be canon, is Bowser's Mother from Mario's Time Machine for the PC. She runs the library which is a side program to the game and looks just like Bowser except she wears glasses and has white poofy hair. So not just does the offspring end up as a perfect copy of the parent, but can become either gender.

Well bowser playing tennis in one game, and trying plotting against mario another game could be the result of two different universes. Here's my Bowser Jr. theory. Tony Stark built him in a cave. From a box of scraps. But yeah, no. He's a clone made by Kamek, and the seven Koopalings are all adopted because Mario killed their actual parents. The reason why I think Kamek might have done it is think. He's the head of the MagiKoopas. He has both the knowledge and the means to whip a clone up with magic.

Nintendo should make a game about this. I had a great idea for a game. One day in the Bowser’s castle library Ludwig is reading when he finds a strange book called the forgotten history of the koopa family The book says that Bowser’s parents were killed as a very young age and he was raised by their advisor kamek when Bowser finally became an adult he adopted the 8 koopalings lemmey and Iggy Twins, Morton, Wendy, Larry,roy, and Twins Ludwig and Cookee. Bowser adopted them so they would have a father. Later Bowser fell in love with a Koopa named Claudia Who hated the Koopalings. Eventually Bowser had his first biological son bowser jr but one day Claudia finally snapped and tried to kill the koopalings bowser stopped her but she escaped and kidnapped cookee. Bowser heartbroken got kamek erase juniors and the Koopalings minds So that they would not remember That bowser is their father and they would not remember their cookee or that jr is there brother and they are just commanders in his military and Junior forgot that the koopalings are his siblings. Bowser lied to Junior to cover up Claudia by Saying Peach was his mother. Originally Bowser kidnapped peach to take over the mushroom Kingdom but now bowser has fallen in love with her to try and fill the void that Claudia left. Claudia and cookee have not been seen since that night. After reading this Ludwig tells the koopalings and jr over here is them talking eventually Bowser finds out that they know and since his troops to go catch them. The koopalings Try to go find their forgotten brother and the writer of the book but all of them get caught except Ludwig and jr Goes to help him on his journey. This game would be a Mario and Luigi game except instead of Mario and Luigi it would be Ludwig and bowser jr. this would explain all of the confusion around the koopalings and bowser jr. it wouldn’t help with the confusion around koopa kid but hey you can’t solve every problem.

Considering how often characters and enemies in Mario are reused outside the original 4-5 games, I doubt Bowser Jr.'s mother has been seen in the series. If he ever does get a mother (which is unlikely), it will be a new character, and my guess would be a spin-off game where Bowser Jr. has to rescue his mother.

Nintendo should make a game about this. I had a great idea for a game. One day in the Bowser’s castle library Ludwig is reading when he finds a strange book called the forgotten history of the koopa family The book says that Bowser’s parents were killed as a very young age and he was raised by their advisor kamek when Bowser finally became an adult he adopted the 8 koopalings lemmey and Iggy Twins, Morton, Wendy, Larry,roy, and Twins Ludwig and Cookee. Bowser adopted them so they would have a father. Later Bowser fell in love with a Koopa named Claudia Who hated the Koopalings. Eventually Bowser had his first biological son bowser jr but one day Claudia finally snapped and tried to kill the koopalings bowser stopped her but she escaped and kidnapped cookee. Bowser heartbroken got kamek erase juniors and the Koopalings minds So that they would not remember That bowser is their father and they would not remember their cookee or that jr is there brother and they are just commanders in his military and Junior forgot that the koopalings are his siblings. Bowser lied to Junior to cover up Claudia by Saying Peach was his mother. Originally Bowser kidnapped peach to take over the mushroom Kingdom but now bowser has fallen in love with her to try and fill the void that Claudia left. Claudia and cookee have not been seen since that night. After reading this Ludwig tells the koopalings and jr over here is them talking eventually Bowser finds out that they know and since his troops to go catch them. The koopalings Try to go find their forgotten brother and the writer of the book but all of them get caught except Ludwig and jr Goes to help him on his journey. This game would be a Mario and Luigi game except instead of Mario and Luigi it would be Ludwig and bowser jr. this would explain all of the confusion around the koopalings and bowser jr. it wouldn’t help with the confusion around koopa kid but hey you can’t solve every problem.

I'm sad for Bowser Junior that he does not have a mother. Even if he has no friends, being himself is what matters to him. People should at least give credit. So maybe Bowser could not find the right mom and that's okay! Maybe Rosalina could be his mama. Or Daisy. But Rosalina lives in space and Daisy only makes appearances in MarioKart. I guess the only people Bowser Junior can hang out with is probably Magikoopas, Goomba's, Koopa's and the Koopalings.
